Fantastic views / location!

This condo is the perfect location.... literally the closest condo to Purgatory’s landmark logo tower! It is a corner unit on the top floor... providing views of the ski mountain, the base and the gorgeous Twilight peaks of the San Juan mountains. Easy access to the slopes, we enjoyed a week of snow skiing.... with well laid out floor plan and comfortable furniture. Would definitely like to return!”

Bergrefugium

Enjoyed our stay at Purgatory near Durango. It was off season, between winter and summer so lifts, and other things to do were closed. We were happy to just relax and enjoy the mountains, change of leaves, hot springs near by and the cool weather. We experienced the first snow of the season which was beautiful. The condo is cozy, mountain decor, and felt and looked very clean upon arrival. Thanks to our host for letting us stay in your beautiful mountain retreat. ”

All Things Colorado

This large corner unit with two large bedrooms at Purgatory Resort is a perfect location for all things Colorado. The beds are comfortable and the balconies, one off the bedroom and one off the kitchen area, are great viewing areas to all the action around the resort. Jon was good to work with us on a requested stay in July, which is a great time to visit this part of Colorado. Purgatory Resort is located in the beautiful San Juans between Silverton and Durango, is an hour from Mesa Verda, and is surrounded by great hiking and jeeping trails. We highly recommend riding the two hour narrow gauge steam train through the gorge; eating at James Ranch Grill, a long-time family ranch and farmers market open everyday; Jeeping to Lake City from Silverton on the Alpine Loop; and hiking the Hermosa Trail. During this difficult time (COVID), housekeeping for the resort is lacking. The unit itself needs some new sheets, kitchen appliances, upgrades and deep cleaning. Regardless of these things, it was comfortable and safe, and the staff were as helpful as they could be during our stay. I left an article which was promptly returned to me by a friendly young lady from the front desk (I wish I could remember her name). ”

Nothing like true ski in/ski out

These accommodations are wonderfully situated - ski in/ski out, rentals just downstairs, everything convenient. On top of that, Jon simply couldn’t have been more helpful or nicer. Our family enjoyed ourselves immensely! We would jump at the chance to stay here again with these views, comforts, and conveniences! Not to mention AMAZING snow! Thank you for everything!! A Great Place To Ski

We had a wonderful vacation. The condo had everything we needed for a great ski vacation. The scenery out the windows were wonderful. We hope to go back.”

Great location and always morning entertainment

Jon’s place was nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The fireplace was lit nightly which added to the ambiance. Just call for wood and they would bring all we desired. The kitchen had enough supplies for cooking small meals. True ski-in-ski-out. It states that you have use of the owners linge, this policy has changed and the use is ONLY for the owners. We were disappointed with this. But Purgys is a fun place to hang out especially if the weather is nice. Jon was very communicative and was always available by text for any questions we had. The housekeeping is lacking, but thats no fault of Jon. Just and FYI for you. Enjoy-we did”
