May 2026Beautiful Pools and Beach
Beware you will be in the towers, as a ThirdHome guest. Even if the resort is empty. The units are well-stocked and meticulously maintained, and the housekeepers did a fantastic job. We thoroughly enjoyed the pools, especially having separate areas for adults and families. There were plenty of lounge chairs available at each pool, and the staff at the pools, bars, and restaurants were exceptionally friendly. While meal and drink prices were on the higher side, this is to be expected at a nice resort. I appreciated the location between San Jose and Cabo, which allowed us to dine in both areas. However, I do have a complaint regarding the room assignment. The photos and descriptions showcased various units with terraces, hot tubs, and lush vegetation, which I would have preferred rather than the towers on the freeway. Despite the resort being quite empty, I was informed those specific rooms are reserved for owners only, and we were categorized as "Thirdhome guests." I pointed out the advertised images and was told I needed to address the issue with Thirdhome. It was disappointing to see no flexibility, especially given plenty of available units. Additionally, the pressure to attend a timeshare presentation was quite strong. Check-in left me frustrated and disappointed.”

March 2026We love staying at the Solaz!
This is our 4th stay at the Solaz, our favorite resort in Cabo. Our kids love the teen club and the pool. The rooms are super nice and spacious and the pool is perfect. We also love the restaurants. The only thing is, they encourage you to do a timeshare presentation, which takes a lot of time. But otherwise, it is a perfect family vacation and we will definitely return.”

March 2026HIGHLY RECOMMEND
We’ve stayed at The Club at Solaz several times now, and it continues to be our favorite resort in the Cabo / San José area. Every visit has been consistently exceptional, which is why we keep coming back—and will absolutely return again. The food is outstanding, the rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, and the entire property feels luxurious yet welcoming. What truly sets it apart is the staff—everyone is so friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making your stay special. Our 5-year-old especially loves the kids club, which makes it such an easy and enjoyable trip for the whole family. If you’re looking for a top-tier, family-friendly resort in Cabo, this is it.”

March 2026Gorgeous Property
The Club at Solaz was a fantastic stay. We were two couples and we enjoyed everything about the property, especially the adult infinity pool. The resort is beautifully landscaped and appointed. Staff was friendly, helpful and gracious. The unit was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The balcony views were lovely. I would highly recommend to anyone!”

March 2026Classy club resort and great restaurants
We enjoyed our stay at this top level resort. We dined at their restaurants and had fantastic meals and hospitality was top notch. The sushi Sukugara restaurant was excellent especially their Kama. One bartender at Aparo even shared his extensive Mezcal knowledge with us. Enjoyed the bartender Socorro at Riccio, she was very nice and engaging (made a great Espresso martini) We both agreed we would definitely come back. ”

February 2026Fabulous Resort
This is a fabulous resort has first class amenities, beautiful suites, fabulous restaurants with great food and a swimmable beach which is so hard to find in Cabo. Even the quiet adult pool is so well designed, privacy from every angle and the most beautiful landscaping i've seen in a resort setting. The food is expensive which is fine when the service is also top knotch... the only drawback was the service at the breakfast restaurant, (Cascade or Cascadia)... wonderful food... but they had very poor service, which when you're paying $50us each per day and its a buffet it's not excusable. We would bypass that next time and make our own breakfast in the room. But we'd definitely return, everyone else was wonderful... ”

February 2026Not as expected
Given the keys used for this, and the luxury billing of the property I was quite disappointed. I filled out questionnaire pre arrival and they didn’t have it. Booked two bedroom with Jacuzzi annd ant check in, told booking did not include, so had to dig out email annd wait till 4:40. Finally angreed, got unit with jacuzzi and it was a bathtub that had jets, but fit one person. Deck had 2 chairs but there were 4 of us. If you didn’t go to the pool by 7am you could not get lounge chairs because people put books on them and one day an argument broke out over someone holding 10 chairs. Room cleaned late in the day several days, we were toldif we took tour we would get $300 credit off bill for restaurant charges and at check out told we needed to use vouchers at restaurants. Argued as did other guests and they finally agreed. Not what we expected for 9k for a week.”

October 2025Fantastic Stay, Five Star Experience
What a trip! The resort, Club at Solaz, was everything it was advertised to be AND THEN SOME. The staff couldnt have been nicer or more accommodating, the facilities were immaculate and our family had an absolute blast. The Thirdhome platform, booking process, open communication and experience was seamless, I cannot wait to find my next landing spot on Thirdhome!”

July 2024Beautiful esthetic, great service!
Loved our unit and the design of the property. There are several pools, great long walkable beach, and delicious restaurants. Only negative, the bedroom facing the street was not as quiet as we wanted. ”

October 2025Absolute Luxury, We Didn’t Want to Leave!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at The Club at Solaz! Everything was top-notch. The room was huge and stunning, the restaurants were incredible, and the service everywhere on property was flawless. The spa was the best I've ever been to. Our kiddo loved kids club. Honestly, we only left the resort once because everything we could have wanted was right there. Truly a five-star experience all around—we can’t wait to come back!”

May 2025Beautifully Designed Resort and Outstanding Staff, but Highway Noise and Sales Pitch Can Disrupt
The property itself is beautifully designed and very well maintained. However, as we were informed by the sales representative, ThirdHome guests are placed in the towers near the main highway, which makes those units quite noisy. The noise level was excessive, and we were only able to secure a quieter unit by agreeing to attend a sales presentation. The presentation was intended to last 45 minutes but extended to over two hours, and the approach felt pushy and forceful—an experience I would not recommend. That said, there are many positives. The accommodations are beautifully designed and modern, the staff is exceptional, the service is exemplary, and housekeeping is meticulous. I particularly appreciated the adults-only pool, which provided a serene and relaxing environment. The resort also features a fresh juice bar, which was a very nice touch. The gym, however, is quite small and was very busy during our stay. Overall, this is a wonderful resort with exceptional staff and amenities. If it were not for the highway noise and the sales presentation, I would have rated it five stars. Despite these challenges, I would definitely consider returning in the future, as the resort has so much to offer. - Alenka & Miles Healey”

February 2025Restful and Relaxing
We had a great week here. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, and the views simply perfect. I encourage people to visit in this time of year for viewing the whales from the pool area. The restaurants were excellent and the staff quite accommodating. Caveat-the road noise is significant. You need to go all the way down to the beach area to get away from it. Would return!”

March 2025Loved the Club at Solaz
What a beautiful and luxurious property! Everything we needed was here. Room was elegant and with amazing ocean views. Restaurants were all delicious and I enjoyed the spa, exercise classes, juice bar and even a sound bath. Multiple pool areas made it nice to have the option of adult only. I highly recommend Solaz and will be back!”

May 2025Beautiful Club Slaz
We had a beautiful room with a beautiful view! Visiting in May was a very quiet time to be there, making it very relaxing. Unfortunately, the ocean was not swimmable in front of our resort or down the beach. The customer service was top notch, although the food and drinks were pricey. There was a full kitchen with a grocery store right down the street. There was not much to do near the hotel, but it was nicely located right between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo. ”

August 2024Will be back!! Solaz
I recently stayed at The Club at Solaz in a two-bedroom villa, and it was a wonderful experience. The modern style of the villa was impressive, with a seamless blend of landscaping and structures that created a beautiful environment. The spacious rooms provided plenty of comfort for our group. The selection of restaurants on-site was good, although prices were a bit on the higher side. Overall, it’s a great place to stay for those seeking a stylish and comfortable getaway.”

February 2025Great vacation spot as always
This was our second trip. It was as great as last time. The property is fantastic, guests are nice, staff is great, location is good and the food is pretty decent. The one complaint is the sales pitch. A few of the salesmen were WAY too aggressive, and one of them was actually a jerk. Next time i would definitely avoid the sales meeting, not worth the 25% discount on food/beverage, especially since we don't drink alcohol. Still will give 5 stars”
Nancy S.
April 2025Paradise but no sales pitch please!
The property was great. The only problem was that they reserve the worst rooms on property for third home members. A check-in in order to be upgraded to an A check-in in order to be upgraded to a room with the view of the ocean of they made us spend 3 1/2 hours on a timeshare sales pitch. It was quite strong armed to say the least. Otherwise we loved everything about the property. The pool on the ocean was an incredible experience, and the food and beverage was great. Also, the staff was very attentive.”

November 2023The Club at Solaz - Bedroom Villa
We went for the Thanksgiving Holiday week in November. My family loved it. There was an equal balance of luxury and simplicity that made the experience easy and truly relaxing. There was never a struggle for chairs by the pool. The proximity of pool to ocean and sand was convenient, and the overall cleanliness and service at the property was great.”

March 2025Nice Villa
The Villa was nice. The resort location to Cabo and San Jose Del Cabo are not close. The resturants and room service are expensive. Only one Place to eat outside of Hotel in walking distance which is M. Burrito, good prices and food. ”

March 2025Great stay in every way
The resort had amazing dining, a great pool and beach set up as well as fantastic poolside service. The Jim managed to provide all the basics for a complete workout. Our room was super clean and everything was new. We had a ton of space and the beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were top notch. Additionally, The Daily made service was very extensive. It was great to have a small kitchenette and fridge so that our kids could have breakfast in the room while we had coffee and even made dinner there one or two nights. Having the balcony space overlooking the water was also a great convenience, and we used it a lot for lounging and visiting around the outdoor dining table. I highly recommend Solaz for a family stay ”

March 2025Why We Loved Our Stay at The Club at Solaz, Cabo
Our family had a fantastic stay at The Club at Solaz. The entire property is absolutely stunning. Modern, yet warm and perfectly blended into the natural desert landscape. Although I’m not usually a fan of modern décor, the design here felt thoughtful and organic. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa, which was perfect for our family of four. While the listing says it sleeps eight, I’d say four (or maybe five with young kids) is more comfortable. The kitchen was great, though it lacked an oven. Bathrooms were spacious, and the only downside was the narrow living room. The sofa could definitely be larger for family movie nights. We visited in March, and the weather was spectacular. We never needed air conditioning, just ceiling fans and open patio doors. We had no major issues with traffic noise. While you can hear it slightly from the patio, it’s more like a hum, not disruptive at all. The staff was excellent. Every guest is assigned an ambassador who handles everything via text, from dinner reservations (including off-site restaurants) to activity coordination. Ubers were easy to use and safe, with the hotel offering golf cart rides to the entrance. The resort gym was basic but functional. Our kids (14 and 11) enjoyed the teen room, though it closes at 7 PM, which we found surprisingly early. We’d love to see it stay open later to give adults more evening downtime. There also weren’t any spontaneous evening activities like live music, which could be a nice addition. The spa was beautiful and serene. My massage was excellent. While not huge, the spa felt luxurious and relaxing. We enjoyed a wide range of activities both on and off the resort including camel rides, ATVs, a yacht cruise, a hike, art walk in San José, horseback riding, jet skiing, and more. The beach was swimmable during our stay and gorgeous. Dining overall was great. Lunch options were a standout. Most dinners were very good, though a couple of restaurants (like the Italian one) felt underwhelming, especially for kids. I’d love to see more kid-friendly dinner options, like extending the lunch menu into the evening. Still, we give the dining a solid 4 out of 5. Regarding the timeshare experience, we were approached early on and did the tour. The first rep was lovely, but the follow-up sales pitch was too aggressive and unnecessary. The resort truly speaks for itself. We’re open to considering ownership in the future, but we didn’t appreciate the pressure to decide on the spot. In all, The Club at Solaz delivered an exceptional experience. Beautiful setting, thoughtful service, and great amenities. We’re already considering returning in December and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cabo.”

February 2025Second Glorious Stay at Solaz!
We enjoyed our stay so much the first time that we bought our children the second time. What we love is the full kitchen so we can cook and have breakfast and lunch. Restaurants are varied, there are five plus a coffee shop and grill for a quick bite. You never have to leave the hotel but, if you desire, Ubers and Taxis are a quick ride away to some of the best restaurants Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo have to offer.”

February 2025Mixed
Grounds are immaculate. Architecture of the facility is stunning. Pool and room service staff are top notch. Ambassador staff were generally unhelpful and over pushed the timeshare element. The biggest problem with this location is the traffic noise and this is totally dependent on your room allocation. If you are in the grounds fine, tower not. ”

February 2025A Mixed Bag
The positives: -You cannot beat the beach location of this property. It is stunning. Especially for Cabo (the property is actually about halfway between Cabo and San Jose off Highway 1). -They have one of the best pool set ups I have ever seen anywhere. Almost everywhere you sit by the pools (which are fairly plentiful) you have a full on view of the ocean. -If you go between December and March you will have a wonderful show every day of the whales. -The service is impeccable. Truly outstanding in every regard. -The beds were wonderful! The negatives: -If it's important to you to sit and look at the ocean from your room, forget it. We were in room 3101, which to be fair, is the worst room on the property. It is the very furthest back from the ocean, which would have been ok, but sitting on the patio, your eye-level view is obscured by landscaping. Plus we had a fence with a large metal pole to our left, so the view was marginal anyway. -You cannot easily sit on the patio because the road noise from the highway (directly behind you) is so loud you may as well be in a city. And the fumes from the cars add to the lack of allure. -There is some kind of mechanical noise that starts at around 5am in the morning and goes on and off periodically all day. I could never discover exactly what it was, but in talking with our neighbors, they too could hear it. -The room itself was fine, not stellar, but adequate for our needs. -The gym, if you're interested, is marginal in size and equipment for the amount of people wanting to use it. If you're a yoga or mat workout fan, you have to take the mat outside to use it during peak hours because there's no space in the gym. That said, they did have infused water, beautiful bathrooms, and apples! -The walk from our room (again, the furthest away) to the beach/pools was long, not easy for people with physical challenges. (We don't have any problems with the distance, but we saw others struggling.) That said, a vast majority of the properties along Highway 1 have the same issue, I would think. We did attend a sales presentation to get 25% off food and other amenities at the property. Both sale people were polite, non-pushy, and in our case, stuck to the hour after breakfast they claimed. We only purchased beach food, which was fine, and smoothies, which were freshly made to order and were delicious. So I can't speak to the restaurants on the property. Long story short: If you spend a vast majority of your time at the beach and pools or away from the property, you will have a great vacation. ”

November 2024Club at Solaz Review
We stayed at Club Solaz Resort for a week over Thanksgiving. It was our first visit. The resort has a quiet vibe which is peaceful. The resort is divided into Club level, Hotel level and Residences, all of which have separate lobby and check in spread apart. The resort opened in 2018. Our 2 Bedroom unit was maybe the finest rooms we have stayed in. Very up to date and everything works. The entire staff are very friendly and helpful. Their beach area set up is neat how they spread everything out. We attended a presentation and there was no pressure put upon us at all. We would definitely return to stay at Solaz again”

November 2024solaz - a conflicted review on our visit
this was a tough one for me wish i could have given it 3.5 stars but thats not an option resort is beautiful and very well laid out and maintained. everyone was very friendly but there was a surprising amount of the lack of availibility to communicate. I understand that this is mexico and spanish is the native tongue and we are extremely well travelled travelling over 200 days a year and having been to mexico in excess of 25 times. Also this is a marriott autograph collection property and being well acquainted with marriott i expected different. food was overall quite good but was very expensive (42.00 all in for a hamburger) and also quite a mismatch. 5.00 for a vodka soda but 27.00 for a margarita. people and staff very very nice but communication and service were not what I felt it should be for this level of a property we played pickleball twice and the second time the court lines were just taped on the ground and portions were peeling off and some were missing. the net was a jumbled mess against the wall and we spent 10-15 minutes assembling the net so we could play. I explained the situation to the concierge and she said i need to take it up with the tennis manager and i said i already tried but he couldnt communicate with me as he spoke spanish only. I couldnt accomplish any headway so i texted if there was anyone else i could talk to and never received a reply. Not the end of the world but felt you shouldnt charge 40.00 an hour for a court with masking tape lines and a net you had to assemble once again a beautiful property and we did enjoy our stay but just had enough misses on items that made it not a 4 or 5 star review”

November 2024AMAZING
The Club at Solaz was absolutely beautiful and I will definitely be coming back soon. From the pool to the restaurants, everything was top notch and wonderful. My ambassador dropped the ball a couple of times which was frustrating and the reason I only gave 4 stars.”

October 2024Couples Retreat
Very chic and contemporary 2 bedroom villa at Solaz on the Sea of Cortez. Unique sustainable property with beautiful foliage and plantings. Several indoor and outdoor dining options near the beach. Fabulous pools with remarkable beach views. A remarkable Spa with multiple body treatment options and expansive hydro treatments pools. And they keep making enhancements!”

August 2024Amazing vacation but some negatives
Los Cabos is an amazing destination, Solaz is a stunning resort with top-notch service. It would certainly merit 5 stars, except for three factors: 1) everything in the hotel is extraordinarily expensive (even by Los Cabos standards), 2) you’re forced to tip a minimum of 15% on everything (they deceptively call it a “service fee” and then include in the check a blank line they call “tip” to see if you fall and tip even more without realizing it) and 3) many rooms (including the unit we stayed at) have the entrance door facing the highway, so the noise inside the room is constant, especially during the day, but also at night. I would certainly stay there again but request one of the interior units, which may have inferior views but might be less noisy.”

The properties, beautiful wonderful location staff is kind and friendly. It’s operated just like a hotel. Make sure you request something on the lower level, not near the road,. Road is very loud and you can hear it while you’re inside your suite… Not that flexible with changing rooms if you’re sensitive to noise… Property is a fractional ownership, so sales team can be a little bit forward with their sales pitch constantly.”

Beautiful property, well informed staff, great location, excellent gym. Only negative was that you can hear vehicle street noise from room.”

May 2024Stunning Property with Exceptional Service!
Service was amazing starting from the moment you arrive. Every staff member was happy, helpful and truly concerned about making our stay perfect. 2 bedroom villa: panoramic ocean view with spacious balcony and interior. 3 Full bathrooms was a tremendous perk. Easy beach access and 4 pools! Gym is expertly outfitted with high end Technogym equipment. Our ONLY complaint: food and drink are outrageously expensive (ie Cheeseburger $44 USD, Margarita $25 USD, Small Pizza $28 USD: before service charge/tip/taxes). We read this same complaint on reviews prior to arrival. The actual restaurant prices were even more. We ate on property the 1st day only and probably would have eaten on property a bit more otherwise. Of course, ultimately we could afford to pay the prices but it was hard to rationalize the lack of value. Aside from the food/drink prices, it is an amazing property and we would definitely return. ”

March 2024Continued Nice Stay At Solaz
The Solaz continues to be a nice option in Cabo. It has a good location along the corridor with a long walkable beach. It is about a 20-25 min drive to downtown Cabo. The resort is well kept with great zero edge pools. It has a hip/cool vibe with a great gym. Staff is friendly and nice. The kitchen has no oven, but there is a cooktop, so if you desire to eat any meals in you'll likely be able to get it done. The upholstered furniture in the rooms needed cleaning or updating. Unfortunately the rooms ThirdHome guests are being given now are at the back end of the resort. While they are the furthest from the beach they are the closest to the fwy. We could hear the fwy noise in the room and on the balcony. That was a real disappointment. We did ask about being able to move rooms, but they were not able to accommodate us. We ate on property a few times. The prices are what you would expect for a resort, $20 cocktails and $25+ food items. While food was good, service was poor and very slow. Guests were leaving dinner and complaining. There is a staffing issue. The staff is doing the best they can. But 1 person can't run the bar plus take food orders and service. This was an issue all week. I think if you adjust for these issues and be prepared to do a lot of walking within the resort you can have a nice stay.”

February 2024Beautiful but noisy
We loved the property. The architecture, landscape and interior design were impeccable. All amenities are shared between the club and hotel, including great beach access, wonderful gym, delicious buffet breakfast, multiple restaurants and pools. We loved the beachside bar. Excellent service throughout the property. Spacious, well-appointed suites with full kitchen, 3 full bathrooms, living room, and a large deck with panoramic ocean views. Note, however, that if you are staying in the tower (v. the "galleria" units, which are typically reserved by club members), the property is located directly adjacent to the freeway and the rooms are not well insulated from noise. The freeway is scheduled to be relocated farther from the property in 2025. We would definitely come back once that project is complete, but not before. For us, the freeway noise was a significant detractor from an otherwise perfect stay. See you in 2026!”

February 2024Amazing property, wonderful stay!
This was our second time at the Solaz and everything was wonderful. We love the property, restaurants, gym and pools are all excellent, and the location right on the beach. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable for families. Staff goes the extra mile to help plan activities. ”

February 2024Beautiful property!
The 2BR unit was gorgeous, well appointed and super comfortable. The balcony offered expansive views of the water, where we saw tons of active whales. Beautiful stretch of beach, and the resort was meticulously maintained/landscaped and offered an abundance of great dining options (our favorite was Mako). Infinity pools and lunge chairs were aplenty, so never felt crowded. Overall loved our stay and don’t know why you don’t hear about Solaz more often in Cabo!”

December 2023Beautiful place
The property is beautiful, the service was great, the food during the day is great, the tennis and gym facilities are excellent and the rooms are spacious and have everything you need. This property is a solid 4 plus star property and we would come back. Two downsides - the rooms are very close to a main highway, so you can hear the highway noise. There aren’t any casual restaurants / menus for dinner time, which made dinner with the kids tricky. Additionally, my husband and I like casual Mexican food for dinner on vacation in Mexico, so not having that was puzzling.”

December 2023Beautiful and Relaxing in Cabo!
So glad that Solaz is reopened! This is our 4 stay at this amazing resort and it did not disappoint! A few restaurant changes but we went off property most nights for dinner! Pool is as beautiful and relaxing as you can ask for! Can wait to stay at Solaz again!”

November 2023Solaz is still great, but Club side of hotel tries too hard to sell timeshares
Had issue with checkin. Even though I had 2 bedroom unit reserved the timeshare lady on the Club side said that non owners can only stay in hotel rooms and not in a 2 bedroom suite. After some complaining we were able to get this cleared up with help from the resort side of the property. Seems like timeshare on Club side tries to pressure guests to do timeshare presentations. The Club side was not happy when we did not want to do a timeshare presentation with them. There were good things, like the service by the pool by Hector, Fernando, Cesar, Angel and others. But the issues with check in, and even now with check out. They confirmed a 12pm check out and golf cart pick up. I called 3 times and finally Raul (who is wonderful) came to pick me up at 12:30. Once I didn’t need to use the Club side of the hotel things went A-OK. The resort side was very helpful. Oh, there were also issues with the pool. They have a policy that if you put your stuff to save a spot it is only held 45 min. But they let people do it for HOURS in prime spots. It got better, but only after the hotel and club weren’t as busy after Thanksgiving. ”

April 2023Wonderful experience in Cabo
This is our second visit to Solaz and we absolutely love it! Beautiful facility, wonderful beach (that is swimmable on most days... unusual in Cabo) and very nice suite. Highly recommend a stay here!”

March 2023Solaz success
We recently went for a quick jaunt to Cabo and stayed at this amazing two bedroom suite at The Solaz. The suite was two bedroom ( one king and the other with two queens ), two bathroom, kitchen with washer and dryer, living room, guest bathroom, plenty of storage and a lovely patio overlooking the landscapes back of the property and the ocean. The full service was attentive and thoughtful and upon arrival we were given the whats app contact for our butler who was fantastic. We are very much independent when in Cabo but we did. stay on the property to lay at the pool a few afternoons which was lovely right on the beach two very long infinity pools percent to swim properly in and numerous bars and restaurants, the margaritas and tacos were great! Daily we walked from the property along the sand and got our steps in, all easy safe and stunning. We would love to go back to Solaz soon 🫶”

March 2023Disappointing Stay
This is the 3rd time staying at the Solaz resort. Once as a Thirdhome guest and once as a hotel guest. Both prior stays were great. I should mention those were before the closing. While we were technically in a Presidential Suite we were in the building closest to the road and you could hear road noise in the unit and on the balcony. Plus there were no lounge chairs or the patio spa like our two previous stays. We mentioned this right after check in and were told that they could not move us until Tuesday. On Tuesday we inquired about the move and we're told that there was no record of the request. A manager was to call us. No one called the entire stay nor followed up. On Thursday night when we inquired why we hadn't been receiving housekeeping we were told they could move us on Friday and clearly there was a problem. Check out was Saturday morning so no sense in moving for one night. We also received a bottle of champagne on Sunday which we assumed was for the noise inconvenience. On Tuesday we found it had been removed from the refrigerator. Strange. The hotel has some aesthetic changes and still have rooms and restaurants under construction/renovation so maybe they are not ready for prime time yet. Pool/beach staff is lovey and the resort in on a nice stretch of beach. There is about a 20/30 min conservation before they check you in about attending The Club timeshare presentation. But once we told them we were unhappy with the noise level in the room there was no pressure to attend. I think the resort is worth visiting, I would just make sure to ask for a room closer to the beach if you don't want to hear the cars from the hwy in the front bedroom or the balcony. Wifi was spotty and they acknowledged they had been having issues and were working on it. We did have room service one night and it was lovely and served on time.”

February 2023Gorgeous Property Good location
Hotel level service! Brand new and spotless. Think Ritz Carlton service level. Kitchens pretty well equipped. This is a condo-tel, fractional ownership Marriott managed facility. High end. Food is spectacularly expensive even for Cabo. $20 cappuccino breakfast buffet $120 pp. Crazy! ”

February 2023Excellent Service and Views
Solaz is back open after a roughly 2 year shut down. The resort itself is a masterpiece of architecture, landscaping, lighting and cuisine. Cabo resorts are known for service and Solaz was top notch all the way. The accommodations are familiar as I've stayed in the 2 bedroom prior to the closure. Great layout and the ocean views are excellent from the living room, patio and master bedroom. The views differ of course and our location this trip was as good as it gets. There's still construction going on in the main building (closest to the street) which is quite a bit of distance away from the pool, restaurants and beach but as of February 2023 we could still hear saws, jackhammer, etc. Luckily it was faint but still noticeable around the resort. It wasn't annoying enough to knock any stars off but it's something to be aware of if you're sensitive to this on vacation. That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thank you for an excellent stay!”

May 2021Beautiful property with stunning landscaping and views.
Beautiful property with stunning landscaping and views. Great restaurants and friendly staff. Bit too aggressive in trying to sell time shares – received numerous calls even after saying I wasn’t interested Paying at the bar is complicated – have to open tabs at the bar itself and another one with the server who attends to you at the pool lounge chair Overall 4.5 rating”

May 2021Mexico Modern....
Great property....very cool and modern and on the nicer side in San Jose Del Cabo as opposed to Cabo San Lucas. You can hardly tell you are in Mexico really...feels like Laguna or Malibu. Everyone at the resort seemed to be escaping the US mask wearing paranoia and the resort was pretty chill with 98% of the guests being mask free, which was a welcomed sight for me! We managed to skip the high pressure time share sales pitch (don't do it, I heard it lasts 8 hours and that is not worth the $200 credit they will offer you). The suite was very nice....you are not right on the water so expect only an inch or two of ocean in your view but it's still decent. We ate some great food off resort...I highly recommend Flora Farms, Los Tamarindos, Carbon Cabron and Acre. You can get an Uber very easily for about $10 each way otherwise a cab is about $30 and it's about $60/day to rent a car. Make a grocery stop at Costco or Fresko before you check in. And skip downtown Cabo San Lucas altogether. There's not a lot to do here but if you just want to chill in a great resort, this is the place. I would definitely come back.”

May 2021The pinnacle of vacationing.
Solaz is the epitome of peace and tranquility. The flora and insects throughout the resort create an ambience of relaxation when combined with the gentle rush of the ocean waves. The room was elegantly appointed and spacious. The feeling is modern and clean anywhere you are on the resort grounds. The staff is very attentive and addresses you by your name right from the start. We stayed at a resort down the road the week before arriving at Solaz and compared to Solaz there was no comparison, hands down Solaz is in a league of it's own. We attended the presentation which was fairly low key and not pressuring. The price to own was more than double what we were expecting so we passed. Thank goodness for my Thirdhome membership that allows me to visit here without having to own. ”

May 2021Excellent May stay at Solaz
We had an excellent stay at Solaz. The room is modern, spacious, extremely clean and very well kept up. The beds vet comfortable. Kitchens have a microwave that doubles as a small oven. The patio is complete with a hot tub. Due to the pandemic the tower units are closed. All units at Solaz face the ocean. The pools are great with very friendly staff and plenty of umbrellas. COVID testing is available on-site for $25. Results emailed the same day. It meets requirements to travel to USA. Recommend download and complete VeriFLY before going to airport. While not required it moves you to the front of the line. The transportation service through Solaz has only the private option. It you have 5 or more it is worth it. An added bonus is they walked us through the process when we returned to the airport. TenCar is a good option for car rentals but book early for availability and better pricing. You are closer to San Jose del Cabo which makes it a better choice for dinners. Lots of good restaurants. Costco and several large grocery stores to stock up on supplies. We en joyed our May week. The weather was perfect. The Sea of Cortez is swimable at this level vs. the pacific side and resorts closer to the tip of the Baja. Having a 3rd bathroom is a plus in the 2 bedroom unit. ”
Allan M.
April 2021Stunning Beachfront Location
Solaz is a beautiful property. Friendly staff and excellent restaurants were an added bonus. Our stay would have been a 5 star however we didn't care for pressure to attend a sales presentation and missed the little ammenties like coffee and laundry soap in the unit that we've appreciated at our own property. ”
Dean and Lesli D.
March 2021The best week!
First time to Cabo and we couldn't have had a better trip than to stay at Solaz. The architecture and finishes of this property are top shelf, the staff is beyond gracious, and the Cabo weather is perfect every day. We absolutely loved coming here. Our 2BR suite was perfect for the four of us, two teenagers included. Mornings were spent on the "porch" and we loved the hammock and hot tub. The linens on the beds were so soft and we all slept well. Housekeeping was wonderful. The spa was excellent. A note to say you might want to pack a few things in your suitcase for the kitchen: extra Nespresso-style pods (original shape like a thimble--four are provided and none available to purchase in the market shop), a few laundry pods for the washing machine (none provided in the unit but can be purchased from front desk), we brought our own salt, pepper, cumin & garlic (for guac), wine stoppers, cocktail shaker, napkins, preferred sweetener for coffee, ziplocs. Dishwasher tabs are provided but hardly ran the dishwasher because housekeeping cleaned everything daily. We used grocery delivery service by Prickly Pear and they were great. There is a small grocery store in the Shoppes at Palmilla (part of the Palmilla development, 8 min. drive from Solaz) that has a great selection of American grocery items called California Ranch Market. I would've bought less through Prickly Pear and just made a trip down there, had I known about it. We rented a car through Alamo at the airport and had no trouble getting around. Solaz is perfectly situated on the Tourist Corridor, about halfway between the two "cities" of Cabo--San Jose and San Lucas. This made it a 15 min. drive to either town and there are reasons to go to both. It was a 25 min. drive to the airport, very easy. Several other 5-star hotels within 1-3 miles of Solaz--Las Ventanas/Rosewood, Hilton, Westin, One & Only Palmilla. As soon as you know you are going to Cabo, make two reservations for dinner: La Lupita (the location in San Jose books up way in advance) and Flora Farms. If you have a car and don't mind a 30-min drive seemingly to the middle of nowhere, go to the Nobu hotel and have dinner there. Incredible. Thank me later. There was a press when we first checked in to do the timeshare sales presentation--on-property discounts were offered if we did, etc. We declined and continued to decline when asked a second time. That is not what we want to do on our vacation. Just be prepared to say "no" if that's not what you want to do. Covid testing for our return home couldn't have been easier. Alberto, our concierge, booked us in for Wednesday (we went home on Saturday), they had a small tent outside with a doctor and there was a short line to get tested. Fairly painless. Took 20 minutes. We got our "negativo" results via email three hours later. Uploaded results to the Verifly app (recommended by American Airlines) and were ushered to the front of an empty line at the airport on Saturday while tons of other people without Verifly waited in the regular line at check-in. Highly recommend Verifly. All in all, a fantastic trip and we left feeling refreshed and truly rested. Would return in a heartbeat. ”

December 2020Wonderful Relaxing Stay
The resort has a contemporary feel on an open long and wide beach. The suite is well appointed. Note, the kitchen did not have an oven and no supplies for cooking. The suite bedding was comfortable and house keeping did a good job. The pools are beautiful and the service from all the staff was wonderful. The resort was clean and took Covid precautions. Gym has just about everything one would need and was again, very clean. At the time of our stay only 2 restaurants were open. Both were good. The location is nice, along the corridor. Other dining options are a short drive and downtown Cabo San Lucas is about a 15 min drive. ”

March 2020Solaz Los Cabos

No olvides traerlo. Una estancia estupenda, recomiendo este hotel. »
