Tranquility Port Douglas

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful Port Douglas home. From the moment we arrived, we were incredibly impressed. The house is absolutely stunning — beautifully presented, exceptionally clean and maintained to a very high standard. It has a real sense of luxury while still feeling warm, comfortable and welcoming. The location is superb. Being so close to the beach was one of the highlights of our stay, and having the local tavern and an excellent restaurant within easy walking distance made everything incredibly convenient. It really is the perfect location for a relaxing Port Douglas getaway. The home itself is spacious, private and beautifully appointed, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We spent a week here and genuinely felt at home from the very first day. A special mention also to Emma, who welcomed us and showed us through the property. She was lovely, helpful and made our arrival effortless. It was one of those places you are genuinely sorry to leave. We had an amazing week and would return without hesitation. Beachside Oasis

Our family had a wonderful stay at this sensational beachfront property. The house is exceptionally spacious, beautifully appointed and equipped with everything we could possibly have needed for a relaxing holiday. With multiple indoor and outdoor living areas, there was plenty of space for everyone to unwind. The pool area is simply fantastic, with beautiful views through the palm trees to Four Mile Beach. We couldn't recommend a stay at this beautiful property more highly. It is a wonderful home in an outstanding location, and we would love to return some day.”

Water views from your pillow all day

Looking over he 32 degree pool and spa, through the mangroves to the subtle waves of the Pacific from your sunny daybed - this is the day you knew was coming!!! The kitchen bar has the coffee served up whilst chatter across the bench solves the greatest problem, to platter here, or one of three outside settings! I dont really want this secret getting out, but, in fairness to the opportunity, go for it! You'll find all bedrooms upstairs, gorgeous amenities, privacy and no need to go anywhere! If you wanted a locals only breakkie til dinner, The Beach Shack a 2min walk. Enjoy x”

Great place to stay and dive the GBR

House was right on the beach, which was great for tranquil walks anytime of the day. The pool was kept comfortably warm. The hosts were very responsive to questions. We were only two couples, so the house offered plenty of space for us. The town of Port Douglas offered many great restaurants, and good grocery store.”

Absolutely incredible home and vacation

My family and I just loved this wonderful home right on 4 Mile Beach. The spa and pool were amazing and we loved the table tennis and pool tables. Everything from the crisp white sheets to the Sukin hair and body products in all of the bathrooms added to the overall experience. Location Location on Four Mile Beach

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay in Port Douglas. The heated pool was the highlight. It is the perfect temperature for Far North Queensland of 28° where you can walk in without flinching and then wallow. Many pools in FNQ are freezing and really not enjoyable. The location is the other drawcard of this house. It is right on the beach, and reclining by the pool and watching the kite surfers was an absolute joy. The house was fitted out with everything you’d need and we made the most of cooking up a storm for a friends birthday between heading out to the plethora of brilliant restaurants in PD. Jungle Fowl and Melaleuca remain our favourites. Also the Sashimi Tuna and focaccia at the nearby Beach Shack was sensational. We would like to make a stay at this Baler St house an annual event. Just Wonderful

We had an excellent stay in Port Douglas. The home was lovely, and the real wood in the design gave it a gorgeous tropical feel. The kitchen was well equipped with everything one would reasonably need, and it was conveniently located to grocery stores within a short drive. The bedrooms were comfy and there were plenty of bathrooms and multiple gathering spaces. Our group was small for the house (4 people), it would have been very comfortable for even a much larger group. While that was all great, the highlight was truly the location. Right out the back yard you're on the amazing beach, just through a few trees that also ensured privacy. And the large sized pool was great fun for the kids to cool off in after our various adventures in the area. We had a great time! We'd unreservedly recommend it, and it we were to return to Australia in the future we'd try and plan the trip around availability here. ”

Port Douglas has so much to offer for exploration between the beautiful Great Barrier Reef, tropical rainforests, 4-mile beach and the quaint resort town itself. Craig and Karen’s home was the perfect vacation home! It is a beautiful, clean home that offers all the amenities you could ask for and when you have downdays from all the exploration, hanging out by the pool hit the spot. Perfection!

We had such a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful property! Karen and Craig were wonderful hosts offering suggestions for our trip and were very responsive. Emma, their concierge, met us at the home and made sure we had everything we needed. The home is on the beach, just a walk through the trees. We met many of the neighbors every morning walking on the beach. Port Douglas is a spectacular place to visit. We took the Sailaways snorkel tour to the Great Barrier Reef and the underwater views were stunning. We also took a tour to the Daintree Rainforest. I highly recommend both tours! The local shops and restaurants are great, but the people we met, the Reef and Rainforest tours, and this home are what made the trip truly memorable! Karen and Craig, thank you so much!”

Where Forest meets the Ocean!

Nature Lovers come here! This well built beautiful modern home is in a magical place where there is plenty for all to do and to be dazzled. Amazing views from the windows and glass walls of the ocean just beyond the many species of magical trees. The forest, which you take a few steps through to get to the white sandy beach houses many species of colorful birds land and sea which are often in song. Lounging on the patio with the pool was nice while listening and watching. The house sits right on the famous 4 mile white sandy beach which offers many things such as windsurfing, yoga, and the sound of the ocean as tides go in and out all day. Daily walks on the beach were invigorating. The Daines Rainforest is close by and breathtaking. The Great Barrier Reef can be seen personal and up close via snorkeling in which we saw the colorful coral, giant sea turtle, colorful fish and ancient clams. We took a River Raft trip down the Barron River and that was a blast! Enjoyed the wildlife habitat as well. I highly recommend this amazing home and town of Port Douglas. Great town to explore the Great Barrier Reef from

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Port Douglas. The home was more than we needed and in a great spot on the shore with a beach just through the trail in the woods. Town was close with some great restaurants and shops, and no shortage of options to boat to the reef and snorkel or dive. We also climbed what is called the buggy trail and had a fun and educational dinner in the woods with stories of the early settlers to this region. 5 star.”

Fantastic house in perfect location!

What a treat to have an Aussie Christmas in this gorgeous beach front home. It is spectacular, with the feel of being in the rain forest and yet with the most gorgeous beach a few feet away. We were entertained by the kookaburras and other birds that were unique to us. Karen and Craig made sure that we had everything we needed and were wonderful in advising on available activities in the area -- from snorkeling the great barrier reef to hiking the Daintree Rainforest. It is comfortable and well appointed with everything that we needed for a special stay. ”

Beautiful home on a great location.

Our weeklong stay in this beautifully designed and appointed home located on the 4-Mile Beach was wonderful. The owners were great to communicate with prior to our arrival and sent their property manager to welcome us at the house. Trips to town and elsewhere to restaurants were made easy by a weekly rate pass we bought on RS Transport. Our only issue at the house was with AC units not cooling adequately in one of the smaller bedrooms upstairs. Otherwise, highly recommended for overall holiday experience. Thanks to our hosts again. ”

Needs a thorough clean.

great quiet out of town position with access to 4 mile beach. had a great time exploring the whole region from south of cairns to to cape trib. lots of days trips and out to the reef. the house was very large for a family of 5 room to move no matter the weather. hard to put a cup of tea beside your chair with fake flowers on all the side tables. would be good to have an information book on how to use the house or other information required. sadly the house needs a good scrub. floors were wiped over but grotty. door frames had dirty finger marks (bathrooms). some of the white bedspreads looked over due for a wash with stains. and the hanging basket chairs outside just take up space at they are both broken due to age and sun. Old food on utensils and grime and dust on some dishes. bins were over flowing on arrival and when we took them out mid week as requested maggots all over our hands. I'm dissapointed not too be able to give a great review as this place would be wonderful with a scrub and freshen up. the location is out of town and lovely and port Douglas and surrounds is always such a fun and enjoyable trip. the owners were very responsive in trying to provide the information we didn't have. ”

This was our first Third Home stay and what a place. House is right on the beach-absolutely gorgeous. Port Douglas beach reminds me of pictures of Waikiki before all the hotels. Great access to GBR and rain forest. Hosts were fabulous. Highly recommended.”
