Spectaculaire

Our week in the Wing House is one we will never forget. "One-of-a-kind" is a term used too loosely to describe real estate; there is simply nothing like this place anywhere! While the dazzling and original architecture of the house itself is obviously the main draw, it cannot be overstated how spectacular the entire property, location and views are. This is a truly special spot and, as locals, we know the area very well. Located in the northern and most remote part of the Santa Monica Mountains, the Wing House boasts the most magnificent mountain view in the region (Sandstone Peak/Boney Ridge), and the dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows met by the 747 wings frame these views from nearly every room. Essentially, the wings provide a feeling of flying, particularly at sunrise/sunset. Climatic elements (i.e. sun and wind) have been sensitively considered throughout. The 55 acres of carefully tended gardens --including succulent plants, Asian pagodas, a creek and small waterfall, Bocce court and an orchard -- are idyllic. Given the hot weather during our stay we spent most of the time lounging in and around the gorgeous 60ft swimming pool - a true oasis on the property. It is absolutely silent both day and night accept for the occasional hooting of owls or howling of coyotes. Daily housekeeping was provided by the charming and discreet caretakers who live on the property. The Wing House is a sanctuary for guests who appreciate contemporary architecture and nature in a peaceful, remote setting. Anyone seeking a restorative aesthetic experience with luxurious amenities will not be disappointed.”

we spent Christmas at the wing house and it surpassed our expectations. Every time you turned around and looked a different direction there was something new to look at. there is no way to describe it or any pictures that can capture it. this is a must see to appreciate. ”

This is one very special home ... a site to behold, a engineering masterpiece, something only a few may get to be a part of ... but what a special week. The home is simple, yet elegant, solid as a fortress, energy that's amazing, and a true place to relax, unplug, and be amazed ... their is a local team that takes care of the details and anything you need ... and Malibu and all it's trappings is not too far away. I also would like to comment on the architecture, design, and the ART ... each day a new finding, a snake made out of bottle caps, a picture that when looked at again, is different that you thought ... splendid indeed was out time in "The Wing House", this one is really something special!”

The WIng House

This house is just magnificient. We had a wonderful time. Everything is top of the line and in such beautiful condition. There is a main house and a guest house, so it was perfect for 2 couples. The views are beautiful, of the mountains and valley . We enjoyed the beautiful pool, hot tub, outdoor cooking facilities, the fruit trees, the garden, the bocce ball court , and the outdoor and glass showers with magnificient views. The caretakers are available and Elizabeth, the right hand woman, walked us through the home and showed us how everything operated. This is a trip of a lifetime and you should definitely take it! Gorgeous location

We had a great week at the wing house. Francie has a great staff and a beautiful house. The house looks out on a valley with a view that is second to none. It is very private and we loved taking a shower in an outdoor shower every morning. It was a great privilege to stay at the wing house. The house is located near the western border of Malibu about 5 miles off PCH. The night sky was clear and dark and provided a great view of the stars and planets with Francie's telescope. We day tripped to Santa Barbara, rented bikes in Santa Monica and rode south on the strand, and enjoyed the beach at paradise cove. We also took the kids to Magic mountain for a day. Malibu is very laid back and hip at the same time. The grounds associated with the house are extensive and hummingbirds and other wildlife are common. I would highly recommend a relaxing week at the wing house. ”

The beauty, design, sensuality ,decor, light, views, and sunsets are truly amazing. It has great energy, yet so quiet and peaceful - perfect time to relax, meditate, read and reflect. The Wing House is close to many beaches and about 20-30 minutes to Malibu - but we could not wait to return to the peace and quiet of the property.”

Extraordinary and wonderful house

I have nothing but the very best things to say about the incredible wing house, and the welcome we received from Francie via email and Elizabeth her 'right hand man' on the ground. The Wing House is utterly unique, and it was a great privilege to stay there. It is in a breathtaking position, and is exquisitely furnished and at the same time cosily comfortable inside. The housekeeper is a delight, and the swimming pool and grounds extraordinary. I hope very much to be able to stay there again at some point in the future - thank you Francie!!”
