Set against the cinematic landscape of Lake Wānaka, this Patterson Architects designed residence completed in 2025 draws its character from warm timber, natural stone and uninterrupted alpine views. Floor-to-ceiling glass frames the lake and surrounding mountains, while the restrained architecture creates a quiet connection between the interiors and landscape. Every bedroom occupies the upper level and shares the same remarkable outlook.

The principal living spaces pair natural materials with clean contemporary lines. A sleek, dark-toned timber and slate kitchen opens to a sunlit dining area wrapped in glass, allowing the landscape to accompany every meal. Multiple sitting areas offer distinct places to gather, including an intimate timber-lined media lounge and a spacious living room anchored by a substantial stone fireplace. Curated artwork and luxurious furnishings feature throughout the home.

Four upstairs bedrooms provide exceptional privacy, each with an ensuite bathroom and lake and mountain views. Three suites feature super king beds, while the fourth offers a king. Timber detailing brings warmth to the rooms, complemented by expansive windows that place the changing alpine landscape at the forefront. Downstairs, a powder room and additional shower within the laundry and mudroom provide added convenience.

Native landscaping and stone create a natural transition between the home and its surroundings. A sheltered courtyard offers outdoor seating, dining and a fireplace, while a private hot tub provides a restorative setting beneath the mountain skyline.
