Amazing Location

Wonderful time at Vidanta Grand Luxxe!

The Grand Luxxe units are very nice, modern Ritz Carlton quality, and quite. It is only 15 minutes from PVR airport. They serve coffee on every floor in the morning. Staff throughout the property are very courteous. This property has at least 7 pools worth checking out. There are many excellent dining options. It is a safe property because it is its own very large gated compound with no other hotels or shared beach nearby. The gym facilities are excellent. The golf course is nice and not crowded. The on property market is very nice and not over priced. You tend to do a fair amount of walking which we enjoy. The various paths are fun to explore and fairly well marked to help you find your way. I noticed many people with electric carts to help them get around and they seemed to have no problem doing so. The only caution to mention is at reception and at Grand Luxxe check in the sales people try to get you to go to a few hour timeshare meeting. It is worth it financially but the salespeople people are relentless, at least they were a few years ago. I wouldn’t do it again. Otherwise, the property is excellent!”

Wonderful stay at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta!

We had a great time here. The units are very nice. The property is safe. Many fine restaurants to choose from. Many pools to relax by. Great golf courses. We never left the property. I would recommend it to most 3rdHome groups. The only slight hesitation is you tend to walk a lot (which we like), and the paths are very nice, but some may not be fans of walking much. PS We did not participate in the reception and timeshare sales pitch. If you do you get resort credits and I believe 3rdHome keys, but the salespeople can be rather relentless!”

ADULT DISNEYLAND

We enjoyed our stay at Vidante, tower 3, in a huge 3 bedroom suite. It was spacious and lovely. Housekeeping twice per day, lovely view and huge deck. The staff are super friendly, always willing to help with anything. The night turn down service come with the most delicious chocolate. Check into the property was extremely lengthy, it was 2 hours before we arrived to our room. Only when we agreed to attend a sales presentation could we move on. Their system has a a lot of benefits. All our luggage and groceries were taken from the car and transported to our suite, a very nice touch as the property is huge Things to know before you go: no dishwasher in a suite for up to 8 people, extra charge for everything including drinking water even though you can’t drink the tap water. It is an enclosed operation. Having friends come to dinner was challenging. You are captive in paradise but….there are some drawbacks. ”

Some great features, and some need for improvement

There were many things that I liked about this resort, but unfortunately there were also some things that I did not like. The rooms are nice, but they are in need of updating and the housekeeping was hit and miss. One of the most annoying things about Vidanta is the enormity of the resort. It is like a jungle maze and it takes forever to get anywhere either by shuttle or foot. Also, non of the staff know there way around, and they would regularly give us wrong direction on how to reach common areas such as the beach or the gym. If you are not interested in getting a minimum of 10K steps a day just to get to the pool or beach, I would skip this one. Also, they make it very challenging to leave the resort, so if you want to spend time in town, this is not the place to stay. ”
