Amazing stay

As its name suggests, Casa Magica truly is a magical place. When you arrive, you are immediately greeted by the expansive ocean view. I could probably end the review there, but there is so much more to appreciate at Casa Magica. The aesthetic is clean and modern and absolutely stunning. It’s obvious that Trish has also taken great care in the furnishings, which are artistic and create a calm, sophisticated, and charming environment. Our group was three couples, and with its three levels (including a rooftop deck with fireplace and pool!), there was plenty of space for us all to spread out. Each couple had our own spacious bedroom and bathroom. One bathroom entrance is outside on the dune level, and while it doesn’t have an indoor shower, there is a shower immediately outside on the covered deck, which was perfect for rinsing off the sand after a day at the beach. The main kitchen/dining area brings the outside in with a wall of sliding glass panels opening onto the huge deck, which is furnished with a large table for outside dining, two hanging chairs (love!), and plenty of other furniture for hanging out, taking in the sunset over the ocean, or whale-watching. We were there for a week in March, and we saw whales EVERY SINGLE DAY, far exceeding our expectations. From the deck, we had a great view of the pods of whales as they passed by, breaching, spouting, and flapping their tails and flippers. Bring binoculars for an even better view. We like to cook, and the kitchen was well-stocked for preparing meals and cocktails. But if you’re planning to do a lot of cooking, it’s a good idea to stop at one of the large supermarkets in Cabo. Other groceries in the area are mostly sufficient but definitely limited. If you prefer to eat out, there are numerous restaurants and food stands just a 15 minute or so drive away in El Pescadero, and if you want to walk barefoot in the sand, Cerritos Beach is about a 30-minute walk away and has a variety of food options. We liked the beachy vibe and good food at Barracuda’s, so we ate there twice! Since the beach in front of Casa Magica is not considered swimmer safe, Cerritos Beach is also the nearest place to go swimming, boogie boarding, and surfing. However, we did venture into the waves in front of Casa Magica to cool off and spent plenty of time in the sweet rooftop pool. In all, we had a fantastic experience! Trish was a great host, very responsive to our questions, and she dealt with issues right away. You can tell she takes pride in the house, as it’s beautifully decorated, very clean, and has all the amenities and other supplies (hair dryer, first aid kit, ample beach towels, etc.) that you need to have a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. We would stay at Casa Magica again in a heartbeat! ”

This house is incredible. Beds were super comfortable, house was open and spacious and our favorite part was the deck looking out at the ocean. We were sad to leave. We definitely hope to come back again. Trish was an amazing host as well.”

The location right on the beach in awesome Cerritos, the thoughtful and beautiful home decor, beautiful windows and ocean views, the family-friendly layout.
