Great View

The view from the 4 bedroom penthouse was of the Arch. The patio features a small plunge pool jacuzzi & plenty of outdoor seating. We spent most of the time out there. The unit is nice but dated. We had an AC that didnt work, water leak from the roof, and the washing machine hose was cracked & we had water in 2 rooms of the unit, by the time we discovered it. There is not much space in the living room for 4 couples. We were fine with 2 couples. Management was gracious and gave us a couple of massages for the troubles. Lots of construction going on at the neighboring property, giant cranes were in full view at the roodtop pool. Not much they could do about that but glad our unit was not facing that way! People were very nice, they do hardsell you for the timeshare, we had to repeatedly decline over 2 days. We have stayed at many resorts in Cabo, its not in my top 2, but you cant beat the views, if you are facing the Arch.”

60th Birthday celebration

We rented the 4 bedroom penthouse at Hacienda Encantada May 2-9. The room was big and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the views were great. The room itself needed attention. Several things were broken and needed repair. In my opinion all of the bathroom and kitchen hardware need to be replaced. The showers did not work well and the second master shower leaked onto the floor every time I took a shower. I had to put a bath towel on the floor to soak up all the water before I stepped out. Someone could get seriously hurt stepping out after a shower. We enjoyed all the restaurants on site. I normally don’t do all-Inclusive plans, but this one was reasonable so we gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at the resort. The grounds were well maintained and the pools and hot tubs were very nice. The employees were all very nice and did a great job! I am only giving this resort a 4 star rating because of the little things in the room that needed to be fixed. Looks like they have been neglected for a while. A resort of this quality should never let these issues linger. All in all we had a great time at the resort.”

A Beautiful Week

The 4 bedroom was large enough for all 7 of us to fit very comfortably. We ate breakfast and lunch in every day, and went out for dinner each night. We didn't do the all-inclusive option, and only ate at 2 of the restaurants on site. There are 2 adult pools to choose from, as well as a kid pool. Beautiful views from the Penthouse - We watched the whales each day from the room and pool. Staff was wonderful for my mother and her friend who don't get around quickly - they'll use their golf carts to take folks up the hill, etc. It was a lovely week -”

Always a great experience!

We have stayed at Hacienda Encantada a number of times and every time I say the same thing! What a view! Actually the best overall in Cabo. We have stayed and 16 different resorts in Cabo and by far the best view from this penthouse. Beautiful sunsets! The top floor infinity pool on property makes the day so enjoyable and you literally feel your on top of the world! The property is updating furniture which is great to see and the rooms are clean and comfortable! A couple of great restaurants at the entrance of the property well worth the journey to experience them. Food is fantastic! (Toro & Rosanegro )”

Beautiful Resort

We had a great trip to Hacienda Encantada and enjoyed the resort very much. We were a group of 4 couples and had a 4-bedroom penthouse which was perfect for the eight of us. Each bedroom had its own ensuite restroom which gave us some extra privacy. The balconies were fantastic with spectacular views. The only drawback was the group felt the food was not as good as you would expect in such a nice resort. ”

Very large 4 bedroom with amazing ocean views!

We took our college daughter and her friends to Cabo & this place was just what we needed: room for up to 12 with plenty of space including 5 full bathrooms, close to downtown with shuttles, daily housekeeping so I didn't have to clean up after them, & lots of nice pools. The decor is traditional and grand but not modern. The newer part of the resort is nicer and I was thankful we had access to it, including an amazing rooftop pool & gym with the best views. Our penthouse had amazing views too. We never do any sales presentations but we did this time so the kids could have access to the free shuttles. It took 90 minutes and was low pressure. Shuttles are also included with the all inclusive package but we did not opt for that. The resort also has a gorgeous spa, & lots of activities, such as pickleball, exercise classes, bike tours, etc. The only negative was the lack of an oven. A dishwasher would have made things easier on housekeeping too as we would have used it. ”

Views were amazing!

We really enjoyed our time at Hacienda Encantada. We had such a wonderful unit and the views were absolutely amazing! We did not choose the all inclusive option, so drinks were pricey and service was super slow, but the pools were great and a wonderful resort otherwise! ”

Wonderful stay!

we have stay at this resort a number of times over the past 4 years! Every time it always perfect. Staff is wonderful, clean, food is good if you don't feel like leaving property. We enjoy exploring all of Baja and this trip we took a day trip to La Paz! Beautiful. The whale watch from Hacienda Encantada is excellent! ”

Great Views

The resort does a good job cantering to the guest . It’s a large complex but there are plenty of golf cart drivers to get you around . The all inclusive food and drink package seemed to work out for us . We would definitely return . ”

Hacienda Encantada - 4 bedroom RESIDENCE

I reserved the 4 Bedroom Penthouse but when we arrived they upgraded us to a 4 Bedroom Residence. Still hoping to see the Penthouse one day. The house as well as the backyard are phenomenal. Very well appointed and very large and comfortable. Hacienda Encantada is one of my favorite Cabo Thirdhome affiliate resorts. The ground are beautiful and the people are welcoming, helpful, responsive. I have another visit planned for the fall and am excited to come back!”

Always beautiful in Cabo

Hacienda Encantada stay was perfect! We did not eat this time much at the resort but in the past Restaurants are excellent! Property very clean! Staff excellent! Location perfect for both downtown Cabo and San Jose! We rented a van for 8 people so we were out a lot. Do not use BBB rental it will be a bad experience! One of our favorites in Cabo!”

Thanksgiving week

We stayed in the 4BD/4.5BR unit. There are multiple phases to this development and we stayed at Vista Encantada. It is an excellent facility, but there was a lot of confusion as to where we were staying and where to check in. Once there, the place has everything you need. It is 1st class. The only real downside is that there is no beach or water access. Beautiful views and well maintained grounds. There is construction going on in front of the unit we were in that might ultimately block some of those views. If you can deal with the pressure to sit through the sales presentation, I would highly recommend.”

Thanksgiving Cabo Trip

The unit was nice and roomy and the view was awesome. We did have problems with the refrigerator breaking and almost ruining our groceries. After three days of dealing with it the staff finally replaced it with a new one. Also, soaking pool on the patio was broken. One of the showers in one of the bedrooms was useless because the glass door only covered half of the shower and water would run off onto the floor. After using it once we ended up using a different shower because it made the floor too wet. I think it was meant to be a bath tub only and a shower head was added. Besides those few inconveniences the place was great and the resort was fantastic. The restaurants on site were really good too.”

Amazing experience!

We were thrilled with our stay at Hacienda, we were actually upgraded to the Vista side of the property which offered a roof top pool that was stunning. There is some construction going on but it was disturbing (at its current stage.)”

I would stay again and recommend this vacation location to everyone. The view at the penthouse were world class. The penthouse was well equipped and had very comfortable furniture and bedding. There was fine dining and activities right at the property with an abundance of off property options. The staff were friendly and accommodating. This location was simply amazing. ”

Best views in Cabo

The views are outstanding. Outside grounds such as the pools, play areas for kids and restaurants are all excellent. The condo is a little tired and could benefit from a refresh. Many items did not work such as AC in one bedroom but they fixed all items quickly. Highly recommend this hotel if you have kids.”

Needs updating

We have stayed before and they have done a lot of construction and improvements. The 4 bedroom penthouse needs some updating. A bit tired. The view outstanding. The biggest issue is you have to hand in a towel card at the pool to get one towel, not 2 1 per person. They will charge $25.00 if not returned, so dont leave on your chair. They used to have more loungers around the pool so you end up not having a place to sit. It was a 0 key stay so made it worth it. Not sure I will return ”

Amazing Week with Amazing Accommodations!

First - When you read other reviews you wonder what possible could of happened or what was really going on. upon arrival at Hacienda Encantada we were warmly greeted and started our check in process. I asked about an upgrade and they gave us an option for a 4 bedroom private home for a $1500 upcharge. After a small negotiation it was reduced to $1050. We excepted and we were off to an amazing week. 1st of 4 in Cabo. The home was beautiful and we loved the large pool and spa steps away from the main house. Any residence come with a butler that is shared between other rooms or house but was a blessing to have that service available. At night we sat around the fire pit and listened to one couple play the guitar and sing. ( oh' the butler brought her sons guitar for us to use.) The hole experience was perfect. Good food, no pressure to do the timeshare presentation. Great walking and whale watching experiences. 1 note - be aware that the try to charge you $12 a day for tipping especially when you have been tipping all week. Just an upfront thing for me. They took it off the bill. starting our second week here and in a 2 bedroom that is beautiful !”

Family vacation

Our stay at the Hacienda Encantada was really enjoyable. Made better by the 2 feet of snow we got in Denver the day after we left. The 4 bedroom suite was spectacular with views of the ocean from the large deck. We could see whales off shore most days. They did a great job with Covid precautions and made the mandatory Covid testing easy. I thought the restaurants on property were ok but not great, but that could be influenced by trying to dine out with a 4 yearold”

Amazing view of Sea Of Cortez and the Arch of Cabo San Lucas

The Hacienda Encantada is built into the hill tops of Cabo, which offers amazing views of the Sea of Cortez and the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. The four bedroom suite was one of the best suites we have stayed in and I would highly recommend the Hacienda Encantada for your next vacation to Cabo. The resort has three pools with great restaurants and drink options. There are also four specialty restaurants on the property if you choose to have dinner on property If you into an all inclusive experience the resort also offers a meal and drink package for about $ 100/day per person. We did not take the meal plan, because we golfed for five days and we wanted to experience the multiple farm to table restaurants in San Jose and Cabo San Lucas. ”

Incredible Getway!!

Such a wonderful stay with my family!!!! We had 8 ppl in our group & the 4 bedroom penthouse was PERFECT!! The views from the 6th floor were spectacular & the penthouse was perfectly appointed. Ea day our space was Serviced by staff, they changed our sheets, linens & cleaned up the entire faculty perfectiy every day. The staff was helpful, kind & very accommodating from checkin to checkout! I am beyond pleased with every aspect of our stay & we will must definitely be returning!! Perfect family getaway with breathtaking views!!!”

Perfect Family Getaway

We stayed at Hacienda Encantada in January to escape the Maryland cold snap we were having. The weather in Cabo that week was ideal and the whales performed beautifully all week long. We participated in the all inclusive dining plan at the resort and felt we had plenty of food and beverage options along with a nice variety of restaurants. We stayed in a 4 bedroom penthouse suite for our party of 7 and were impressed by the large bedrooms. The suite was very clean and housekeeping did a great job everyday. In addition, the views were outstanding! The amenities at the resort were very good overall. The pools were very nice. I did think the spa was too small for the size of the resort. Overall a great vacation.”

Incredible New Year's Eve Stay at the Residences at Hacienda Encantada, 4 Bedroom Penthouse

Amazing views of downtown Los Cabo especially this past New Year's Eve - the fireworks shows were spectacular! This resort has it all; fantastic staff - starting with the front desk, to the bellmen to the concierge - all extremely friendly and helpful, rooms are magnificent and spacious, awesome restaurants - both on property and down at the Marina (a lot of choices if you decide to do the all-inclusive for a few days), and plenty of activities for the whole family to do including whale watching, horse back riding, golf and fishing. Or you can just relax by one of the pools with a margarita in hand and soak up the Baja ambiance. And enough can't be said about each sunset - each truly a work of art that can't be missed! ”

Not the Residences at Hacienda Encantada

I'm hoping by providing our experience this will be helpful information. Our room was not within the Residences which was disappointing as that is how the stay is listed. Nor was the room ready until 6:30pm. There are 3 building within the property, the 4 bedroom units are located furthest from the beach. The Residences are separate from the resort and gated. The views are amazing from the room, but the decor is dated and several items in disrepair. Mattresses need to be rotated. The sofa was stained and the draperies stained and coming apart. There is no oven or dish washer in the kitchen and has just the basic items. We enjoy having a kitchen to cook breakfast in. Be prepared as you will need to purchase everything including salt, pepper, paper towels and coffee. There was daily maid service, but you will need to provide instruction on changing towels out and bedding if needed. Service staff was very friendly, but very slow. We needed to make several requests and waited longer than expected. The property is large, bust easy to walk about. But if you want cart service be prepared to wait. After the first request we decided it was quicker to walk. Even though each guest is issued a card for a pool towel they were not easy to get. There are 3 pools. The view from the upper pool isn't great, there is no view from the middle, family pool. But the lower pool is beach front, quite and very nice with access to the beach. This pool is adult only. The gym is small and basic. The spa is not luxury and expensive for the services. But it is basic and clean. The massage I received was good. This is a time share property and you'll be asked to attend a breakfast and meeting about purchasing. After the 4th call and invite to attend the meeting and I repeated that we were not interested and let them know I was feeling pressured, they said that was not their intention to pressure their guests and did not call back. Bottom line, this is far from a 5 star resort and there are several things lacking, but the location is only 10 min drive to downtown, close to Costco and Walmart (we had a rental car) and the views are amazing from the upper floors. ”

NOT "The Residences", Terrible Service, Timeshare Resort and Bugs!

First of all, the photos of the rooms are NOT what you're actually getting and it's not in "The Residences". It's a 4 bedroom in the main resort, which was nice, but a lot of things were not working. So, don't expect to be getting a "2 level" condo in "The Residences" with your own pool, garage, etc. We were initially excited to be closer to the "Kid Zone" but it was rusted and unsafe, so we never used it. We only used 1 of the pools because the other pools were Adult Only and we had our daughter with us. The service is terrible! We had dinner at the resort the first night and it was OK, but they were out of the burger at 6:30pm and it took forever to receive our food. We also had lunch around the pool one day and it took over an hour to receive a salad and a quesadilla! Also, some of the restaurants were closed on different days. We were definitely very happy that we didn't do their all-inclusive package. We also called down for our car and a golf cart to be picked up (it's on a big hill, so walking isn't easy), but they only came once out of 6 different attempts. And the Check-In and Check-Out processes were painful since everyone arrives and leaves on Saturday. Luckily they only tried to get us to do a timeshare presentation twice, which we declined and heard horror stories from other guests that it takes over 6 hours! Lastly, there were moths everywhere and we kept getting mosquito bites around the pool areas. They kept spraying stuff, but that didn't really help much.”

We never saw it

We were treated very fairly by Hacienda--- they were unable to accommodate us in the location that had been advertised but they did reroute us to a different hotel they owned. It was not of the same caliber (even though staff there are exceptional and helpful). It isn't a beachfront local, therefore they returned our keys and we feel we were treated very fairly under the circumstances. Thank You!”
