Chilling in the jungle

We have stayed at Acre twice this year, and it has not disappointed. Hard to imagine that I would spend a week in Mexico and really not care that I wasn't on the beach. The Acre pool is amazing, the service exceptional, and the lush gardens gorgeous. We enjoyed a cooking class, a mixology lesson, and dined at the Michelin-rated on-site restaurant. The Villa is very well-appointed for week-long stays, and the decor is super cool! We will come again for sure.”

5 stars for an incredible unique jungle experience

This resort and the villa we stayed in is one of the most beautiful, unique, and thoughtful boutique stay experiences we have ever had. Not only is the home a gorgeous and functional design, but it is fully equipped. The resort is a lush, breathtaking, jungle oasis just outside San Jose’s typically arid landscape. The farm setting is charming and we picked our own vegetables on two occasions. It was really, really dog-friendly for our pup, and the service from our personal concierge Elisabeth and Martin was attentive, prompt and lovely. 5 stars + ”

Love, love, love this property

This property has almost a zen like feel. It is so peaceful! We enjoyed everything about this property. The palm tree lined walkways, the delicious dinners at Acre Restaurant, the pool complete with a hot tub, cold plunge pool, as well as a room temperature pool, our own personal pool, the pickleball courts, and staff make this a unique and unforgettable experience. Can't wait to return!”

Gorgeous Resort & Amenities

Our stay at Acre was wonderful. The Villa is immaculate and well stocked - they also provide you with a tray of homegrown vegetables from the Acre garden upon arrival which is such a cool touch. The restaurant at the resort made the Bib Gourmand list for 2025 and it doesn't disappoint. There is a gorgeous pool and a perfectly adequate gym, too. You're only a 10-15 minute drive from a number of gorgeous beaches and approximately the same distance from downtown San Jose del Cabo where there are endless restaurants to try. You could easily spend a week here at the resort enjoying their amenities, activities and the local beaches without ever venturing to Cabo San Lucas, which is about a 45 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely come stay again! ”

Amazing

This more than lived up to our expectations. Absolutely beautiful villa, fantastic facilities, and the residents-only pool was the best pool environment I have ever been to. The only negative is there seems to be some mixed messaging on the discounts offered to ThirdHome members on the food and drinks - sometimes we received the advertised discounts, other times the Acre staff said it was only available to true Acre residents (not ThirdHome). That is not enough for me to bring this place to 4 stars, but the inconsistency vs. what was advertised was a little annoying”

Cabo Jungle

Resort is great. Not on water but I did not miss the Sea of Cortez. I enjoyed the personal training, restaurant, yoga and proximity to San Jose del Cabo. This is a major event venue so can be noisy at night.”

Amazing stay at ACRE!

Our villa was absolutely stunning, the staff was extremely attentive and helpful, the onsite animals- especially the rescue dogs made our family's stay extremely special. Food and drinks on point! Highly recommend. ”

Beautiful Property and exceptional service

Acre is a beautiful oasis in the San Jose del Cabo desert. The property is lush and green. Pool area and cabanas are well designed and have great service. While the property in not on the beach the access to the beach club at Veleros is not far and has wonderful cabanas, restaurant and service. The beach is also very nice and totally swimable. Acre is great for younger kids as they have horseback riding, bunnies, goats and lots of dogs and puppies that they rescue and adopt to local familes. Our host Elizabeth was the very best. She helped us make restaurant reservations, excursions, etc. She was wonderful. Also, the Michelin Star restaurant on property was spectacular for dinner and weekend brunch.”

Could not have been better!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The staff, the grounds, the villa, the food, the pool attendants. I could go on. It is a magical place and we would love to come back here again. My daughter absolutely fell in love with the dog rescue too. We also took a candle making class which was fabulous. 5* experience. ”

Wonderful stay!

Acre is magical. Serene, relaxing, eclectic, with character. Love the design throughout the resort. The beds and sheets are so comfortable...the staff welcomes you and is eager to assist. The restaurant (and cocktails) are so delicious. An oasis!”

Jungle villa

The 2 bedroom villa was charming and well equipped with lots of good indoor/outdoor space. The resort is unique from other Cabo experiences, lush landscapes, yoga by the pool every morning with peacocks wandering around. Visiting the animals onsite, including the puppies for adoption is a highlight. 2 pickleball courts and an activities will keep you busy. Food at the restaurant is amazing. There is quite a bit of construction happening as they are expanding so be prepared during the day. Overall a great stay. ”

A wonderful stay at Acre!

From the time we arrived to the time we departed, the quality of service was simply outstanding! Elizabeth, our concierge, went above and beyond. The team at the bar/restaurant and the pool were amazing and the food was great! (One suggestion might be to have an area to listen to music and a dance after dinner) The villa was well equipped with everything we needed and we even had a rooftop area!! It was very clean and of the highest quality. We also really enjoyed our massages in the treetop! It was nice we had rented a car as Acre is quite remote and we were able to go out to play some golf a couple of times. Great golf in Cabos! The grounds at Acre is so unique. So serene and peaceful. We will definitely be back! Loved every minute!”

Great Stay

Acre will always have a special place in my heart as my daughter was married there in 2019. We were thrilled to see them on ThirdHome and booked a week in the Villa. Loved picking fresh vegetables and cooking in the Villa - the kitchen was well equipped. And, when we didn't want to cook we happily ate at the restaurants or took an Uber to one of the many great restaurants in Cabo. When we were there constructions of the new Villas were underway so there was a bit of noise, but that should be wrapping up soon. We would definitely go back.”

Unbelievable Experience !!!

Totally blew us away !! Beautiful 200 sq ft jungle villa that had everything you need plus some. The service was the best from the start to the end. Elizabeth was on top of everything....she was great !! We had many amenities that were awesome including a villa owners pool that was so great !! Welcome cocktail party was super.....better than expected as they were free pouring drinks and the food was fantastic. Overall a true 5 star experience !!!”

Great Stay at Acre

I am very familiar with the area. Loved this resort as it offered the privacy my guests and I needed. Very few places to stay. Great food. Fantastic villa. I enjoyed Kate's yoga classes and her personal training. We had the cats on property visiting us daily. Highly recommended!”

Excellent stay all around!

Beautiful grounds and villas, fantastic customer service, delicious restaurants. We loved the owners pool and will plan to come back once hot tubs are complete. Our villa was outstanding with well designed plunge pool and total indoor-outdoor living setup. Roof terrace had a lovely view. We enjoyed free yoga and our boys absolutely loved the animal sanctuary. We actually even adopted a precious and well-cared for pup to bring home in support of the program. Acre restaurant has a great vibe, loved the cocktails and ragu. Our family had a memorable stay and we will plan to visit n the future! ”

it’s like a concrete jungle - awesome to have a kitchen and we had a chef with us! furniture was a bit uncomfortable but the beds were nice. Beach club and restaurants at acre and flora farms were amazing ! enjoyed ! ”

Fabulous Girls Trip!

We loved our stay at the Acre Resort. Everything was just gorgeous - the property, the lush landscaping, the concert pathways, the tree houses, the villas, the restaurants, and the pools. The property is so well organized. We loved the feel of being in nature yet having everything we needed. The villa came with a lot of amenities. I wish I had asked what would be stocked in the kitchen & refrigerator before we arrived. There was coffee, tea, milk, juices, sodas...and as many vegetables and fruits as we want. We loved the sleek modern design of the villa - inside and out. The staff was SO nice and accommodating. Usman, our personal "concierge", was wonderful. Everyone we encountered was nice & pleasant. Definitely will be back!”

Wild Fun at Acre in Los Cabos

Our stay at Acre was a bit adventurous. From riding bikes, to jungle walks, massages in tree houses and squaking contests with the resident peacock..... We had fun. I will say that September at Acre is HOT! We spent a lot of our time at the pool and cooling off in our villa with the A/C blasting. The villa has a great little plunge pool in the backyard, which we were in and out of several times per day. Recommend! ”

Relaxing and Unique Experience

What an experience. This place is about 10 minutes out of San Jose and just what we needed to unwind. Great food, service, and craft cocktails! The property is gorgeous. Do NOT follow the Google Maps instructions. You will end up going a back way that is not pleasant to navigate. Also, if you go to bed early they do have weddings Thurs-Sunday. So just some things to be aware of. ”

ACRE in Porto Los Cabos

VERY unique property. The Acre restaurant is superior. Really terrific food BUT they play a techno beat music LOUD all the time. Really distracts from the high quality dining experience. The villa (5) was a concrete, enviro type 2-story condo. Bedrooms are upstairs so plan accordingly. We loved the layout and all of the construction detail BUT the furniture was easily the most uncomfortable we've every tried to sit in. It's a mid-century vibe and it looks nice in a picture. they have a ton of cute little vignettes in the condo for sitting and enjoying the vibe but the chairs are so darn uncomfortable it's a real turn off. Kitchen and all equipment was 1st class as was the bedding and linens. Small but servicable bathrooms Staff was very nice and always out of sight. Issues were dealt with timely. We would not go back given the uncomfortable furniture. If you're looking for privacy, it's great. Extremely rough road/dirt to drive to it but serviceable. It's not for everyone.”
