Set slopeside at Schuss Mountain within Shanty Creek Resort (two indoors pools and two outdoor pools available year round; key card available at property to use at resort), Social Chalet is a classic log retreat designed for memorable group stays in every season. Cathedral windows, timber interiors and wooded mountain surroundings create a warm setting for ski weekends, golf escapes and relaxed northern Michigan gatherings.

The chalet’s main level centers on a light-filled great room with a fireplace, generous seating and room to gather after a day outdoors. A well-equipped kitchen and dining area support easy shared meals, while a second living area adds space for movie nights or quieter downtime.

Five bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms accommodate up to 16 guests. Sleeping includes four queen bedrooms, one of which includes a bunk bed, plus a loft with a queen bed, bunk bed and futon. Two queen sleeper sofas, one in each living room, provide additional flexibility for larger groups.

The lower-level game room keeps everyone entertained with a pool table, ping pong table, shuffleboard, arcade games and life-size games. Outside, enjoy the private hot tub, fire pit, furnished decks and grill. Guests also have access to a shared outdoor pool with designated hours.

Ski directly to and from Schuss Mountain in winter, then explore Shanty Creek’s golf courses, hiking and biking trails, and nearby lakes during warmer months. The resort shuttle connects Schuss Mountain Village with the Cedar River and Summit areas, while Torch Lake, Boyne Mountain and Traverse City offer easy day-trip options.
