Our adult family really enjoyed Mead Camp. The house is rustic but well provisioned and decorated in an elegant but spare way: very fitting for a cottage. The small Lake is pristine and the availability of canoes and kayaks gives a chance to get out on the water. We wanted a peaceful week for four adults and we got that reading, swimming and kayaking. Towns are close enough that going out for supplies is easy and rainy day activities are also close. What it isn't is a place for those who want all the extensive comforts of home out in the country, ie televisions and stereos and other electronica! It is set up to get away from that, so beware with easily bored teens, for example. It fit our bill perfectly though. Communication with the owner was very fast and efficient.”
