December 2016Not what we expected
Potentially a nice home, but visibly undergoing remodeling, this home was un finished and not ready to receive our family for our Christmas vacation as to our 3rd HOME anticipation and experience expectations. The pictures on the 3rd HOME website do more justice to this property than what it deserved at the time of our arrival. It is not a “mansion”, it is a house. It is not “in” the Zona Hotelera, it is on the very edge of the Zona Hotelera. It was a disappointment that the hot tub was out of order, woodwork repair was unfinished, rainwater seeped in under a non-existent, unfinished door sill and under window frames, there was insufficient water pressure to properly flush toilets and to take a comfortable shower, the kitchen utensils for preparation of food were insufficient and not up to 3rd HOME standards, the wooden dock was in need of repair, curtains were not in place when we arrived (they were installed later in the week), air-conditioning was faulty, wifi was restricted, parking was very difficult as two cars were parked in the carport allowing little space for properly parking ours. Amenities announced in 3rd HOME need to be reviewed: -Air conditioning- (not in all rooms and some were faulty) -Covered parking lot- (not available, low and small spaces, owner´s cars were parked in the covered areas) -DVD player- (TV was limited to black and white, proper cables were missing) -Espresso machine- (not available or not offered) -High Speed Internet- (limited to the kitchen area, a small outside office for the administrator´s use and only one upstairs room had wifi) -Hot tub- (out of order) -Ipod dock stereo- (not available or not offered) Despite the above, we tried to look at the “bright side” and make the best of it as we had little other choice: staff and administrator were very attentive to our needs. We would recommend, in order to enhance the property that the above issues be addressed. We also formally request that the amount of keys spent in going to this home be reviewed and reimbursed accordingly. ”
