Casa de las Estrellas
A beautiful island of tranquillity situated within the luxury resort of Rancho Valencia, Casa de Las Estrellas is a stunning hacienda-style house boasting five bedrooms and a two-room guest house located around an atmospheric, jasmine and herb-scented courtyard.
An outer entrance courtyard leads through wooden gates into the fully-walled main courtyard with its Moroccan fountain, shaded sitting areas, outdoor dining, TV and barbecue area, and behind a central planter, a swimming pool and spa. Trees and vines in and around the courtyard provide citrus fruits, guava, passionfruit, kumquats, avocados, nectarines and plums.
The main house contains large, cool and elegant reception and dining rooms, surmounted by tall open-beamed ceilings decked with oiled redwood, and furnished with a sophisticated combination of European furniture, Persian carpets and contemporary art and sculpture.
The gourmet kitchen connects to a large family room with games and fussball tables, which opens onto the pool area. The mahogany-panelled library is also a media room, and the master bedroom suite includes a marble-draped his-and-hers bathroom.
With the Rancho Valencia Spa, tennis courts, Pony Club Bar and Veladora restaurant on the door step, and views across the Rancho Santa Fe Farms golf course, Casa de Las Estrellas was designed for entertaining and simply having fun with or without family or staff, and has all the benefits of a resort, coupled with total privacy to create the perfect haven.

Staying at this home was a wonderful experience
We have stayed at many beautiful places through 3rd Home but none like this. First off, the area of rancho Valencia is a pleasure , with great weather and many fun things to do. We traveled with my daughters families and the San Diego area had much to offer all of us. For golfers, the Farms borders the property and is a first rate course. Now to the home. This is not a home that impresses you with the exterior facade like some large homes....although the huge courtyard and pool area were magnificent. Rather this is a home where every room has it own character. The details were so well thought out that I found myself enjoying just viewing the rooms' architecture and contents. Simple things like the lighting were used to create a texture and ambiance that could not be overlooked. The library/media room and the drawing room had books and many items of interest that one typically does not see in a home made available to visitors. The house manager was cheerful and helpful and the owner, while out of the country, clearly wanted us to enjoy ourselves. All in all, this is an unusually interesting first class place to experience. I couldn't recommend it more highly.”
