April 2017excellent
We loved this home ! the views are amazing and the house is very comfortable. We were a family of 4 and this was a bit of a treak for us. The staff honestly tries to accomodate your requests. The Island is untouched and while there is obvious poverty, everyone appears to have plenty of food Couple things to be prepared for no Cable Tv, Wifi, or cell service on any given day may be totally out of service for the day, The resort that is somehow affiliated with the house is having some issues so the casino was closed as was the tennis facility, Best Meals we had were at the Bistro a few blocks from the house. I would recommend getting to Palcencia and going grocery shopping yourself, some of the food we paid for the chef to pick up was spoiled when we arrived and we had to pay him for whatever he picked up, I would recommend packing some dry snacks, granola bars, coffee, sugar, etc in your bag and stopping on your way in. But Hard name brand liqour at the airport or at Duty Free... very expensive for name brand, Be aware that the 1st night locals slept on the beach in front of the house to sell us " things" in the morning,,,, dont buy anything,,,, you can find at the airport for 1/2 the price. Also there are a ton of stray dogs... so dont waste anything...bring them back your leftovers. there is an awesome dog that we feed and gave Eye medicine to during our stay, he was such a sweet dog my kids criend taht we could bring him home. ”
