Great location and excellent service

Austria Haus is perfectly located in the heart of Vail Village, fronting Gore Creek which we had a lovely view of. It is one building over from the charming covered bridge that takes you into the core of the village, and yet is directly across from the transportation center and one short block to Solaris with a small outdoor skating rink, upscale bowling alley and numerous shops and restaurants. We walked most nights to dinner and or with a shuttle ride that almost stopped in front. The regular bus could be taken over to Beaver Creek which we also did several times. The front desk staff at Austria Haus was so very nice, we loved Paula who has been there several decades and eager to please guests. The breakfast buffet was adequate for most mornings, and the housekeeping was seamless. While the units are a bit dated in decor, everything was in good condition, and the living room sofa and chairs were recently reupholstered and more updated in neutral tones so perhaps that will continue. The entire building has a very Austrian, old world feel and was cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and even new appliances. We enjoyed the heated marble floors in the bathrooms. And, valet ski and storage provide is close to the slopes and main lift. One just has to initially walk through the village to get there which is about a 5 minute walk. Once back in the condo, we regularly used the gas fireplace and enjoyed the beautiful views of the creek as well as mountain. We would mostly certainly return in either winter or summer. ”

Awesome location. Friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable & well equipped condo. Lovely views! Lots of outdoor stuff to do plus we enjoyed the weekly Farmers Market & Craft Show, and the Ford Amphitheater. Plenty of dining options too! ”

The property is nice. The staff were outstanding. Some funky Covid rules in effect, but the staff was working to be extra helpful. Great location. Overall a great stay. The one drawback is that I left a phone charger and a few small items which the property used a third party that ripped us off for $80 to send a simple package. I would suggest that Austria Haus get rid of these scammers. ”

Highly Recommend!

So very nice and accommodating staff. 2br unit was decorated in Euro/Austrian style with a view of the slopes! Just a block or two walk to Gondola 1. Understandably, they are not doing a breakfast buffet, but instead have plenty of offerings that you can order every day for the next morning, then go pick up in the dining area. Also, reserve the hot tub and pool for just your own party of guests. These things are necessary for now. Cleaning service is excellent. Love those heated bathroom floors! Location also fantastic for all the best restaurants. Love Vail and the Austria Haus!!!”

Lovely condo overlooking Gore Creek. Great location in Vail Village with numerous restaurant right outside your door. Nice breakfast each morning. Very attentive staff, especially Paula, who can meet all your needs. Unusually warm this time in the mountains, but even without AC in the unit we were comfortable with the breeze off Gore Creek. This was of second stay at Austria Haus and can't wait to go back again next year.”

Spring Break 2018 with the Fam

Location was great. Staff was so helpful and nice. Condo was as advertised. updated kitchen and bathrooms. ski storage at base camp was a breeze. made the walk over each morning easy. since our boys can ski I was able to ski them to ski school each day instead of having to take the bus. We had a great time. there were some things that could be improved; - breakfast was really not very good. its the same every day except wed when they have a omelet bar. it is continental all the way. so if you stay a week be prepared for same every day. their kitchen is tiny and not really a restaurant kitchen so they do the best they can with what they have. - we stayed in unit on second floor. our unit was really hot. we actually turned the thermostats all the way down for the whole trip and never touched them. even had to put on the ceiling fans and open the windows at times to keep our unit cool. it is an old building and the heating/AC system is old and does not work very well. also the 2nd floor hallway was so freggin hot. we mentioned this to front desk but they did not seem to concerned. when you get all dressed up in your cold ski stuff and then have to walk down the hall and wait for elevator and begin sweating it kinda stinks. - vail is huge with not the greatest customer service. we had to figure out ski school on our own and go lots of conflicting info. once we got it all sorted out if was really easy but seems like Austria house would be able to give more info about ski school details. - après ski on thurs/fri- is is advertised by Austria house but little did we know you have to pay for the food / drinks. I guess we assumed since this is a residence club that the drinks/food would be included. there is a hotel part to so I guess that is why it is not but it is not what we expected. all in all a great week. vail had a bunch of new snow during our stay that made it a lot of fun skiing. we would return and it would be a lot easier since we would know what to expect. ”

The perfect vacation

This hotel is perfectly located in the center of Vail Village. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Each one one of them was truly incredible. Our room had every single thing we needed (including incredibly comfortable beds). We visited during the summer and were blown away with the beauty of the area and the range of activities. We hiked, went to the adventure park on the top of Vail mountain, went rafting, horseback riding and we even did goat yoga (yes - goat yoga). Each restaurant was better than the last. We cannot wait to go back!”
