THIS HOUSE ROCKS
This house and the community it is in are nothing short of amazing. This was our first time to this area and it had so many more things to do than I had imagined. I would love to return again and experience the area in the summer time also.”
Beautiful Unique Home
We very much enjoyed our week at The Rock. The weather was unpredictable, as mountain weather can be, with everything from warm sunny days to torrential rain, dense fog and even snow flurries. But all that did dampen our enjoyment in this cozy home with plenty of room and amenities to keep everyone in the family happy and entertained, even grumpy teenagers. Thank you so much to the owners who were responsive to our needs and small problems that came up. We hope to come back again.”
Beatiful Mountain Home
We stayed at this home in April 2018. The home is in a mountain subdivision and is backed up to the mountainside, which is very unique. The home is stunning and well furnished, warm and cozy. It has everything you need for a great mountain vacation. We had been to this area of North Carolina several times, but to stay in this home was a great experience. It was a good thing that the home was so comfortable because it rained every day we were there, We didn't even get to do any trout fishing, but the family had a great time anyway. Thanks to the owners for the opportunity to stay here and provide us with a great family vacation.”
Fantastic stay at The Rock
This is a very unique "luxury rustic" property... and the epitome of why we joined 3rd Home! The home is a destination by itself. We unexpectedly got snowed-in in mid April, and got a chance to relax & enjoy the property. Its built into the side of a cliff and has panoramic mountain views. Being so high up it was very private, and was in a gated neighborhood with terrific amenities. The many outdoor patio areas are resort quality. The interior photos do not do this house full justice, there is much attention to detail in this property which make it special. Would be glad to visit again someday!”
Fantastic Sunrises and Sunsets
The house is amazing, with a view of the entire area. There are so many windows. The owner is as great as the home, responding immediately to anything that came up. We would certainly go there again! Marci and Family”
This home and setting is just magnificent!
We just spent a fabulous week at The Rock in Banner Elk. This home and setting is just magnificent! The community of Eagle's Nest had wonderful amenities. The home was furnished beautifully. The home site was carved out of a huge rock mountainside...and features a pond, waterfall and hot tub all overlooking gorgeous mountain vistas. Downstairs is a pool table and huge movie screen. We loved this vacation and this house! ”
We wanted a winter snow family getaway with a bit of ski too & we got it here at The Rock! Lovely house! We loved the details on this house! 15 min to Sugar Mountain & Beech Mountain. Our kids had a great time because the house had a basement with pool table , chess table and area they could enjoy while inside. Great stay!”
Fall in the mountains
We had a wonderful stay. The most incredible views and a beautiful home. We are in our 70's, so some of the stairs were a bit of a problem carrying bags, etc. We would definitely recommend this home to everyone wanting peace and quiet with access to towns in the area. Thanks and hope to see you again. Ken and Claire”
