Location, Location, Location

This was my first trip to Amsterdam and we could not have been in a more perfect location on Prinsengracht. We were able to walk everywhere without having to use taxis or pubic transport to see the sights of this beautiful city. With the large windows open on two sides of the main living space we almost felt like we were on the water and the view is truly stunning! Cazijn was the perfect host, very communicative and super helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!”

Great apartment for a wonderful Amsterdam experience

Wonderful host, fantastic home in Amsterdam

We had a wonderful stay at Cazijn's apartment on the Prisengracht. The location could not be better. Right around the corner from the Rijksmuseum (we visited there twice) and close to everything. The canal outside the window offers an endlessly fascinating view. Cazjin met us at the apartment on Saturday and showed us everything. A great host. We hope to have the privilege of staying again sometime. ”

Great Week in the Canal House

Unique High End Canal House was a great apartment in an amazing location. The big windows offered a view that was more beautiful than we could have imagined. We enjoyed starting our day over a cup of coffee, while watching the serene canal with boats going by. My family of four was extremely comfortable throughout entire stay. The amenities were perfect, from laundry to a fully equipped kitchen. Although not a deterrent, the two flights of steps are extremely steep, but I would expect that in a canal house, in general. In addition, the location is very walkable. We easily walked to the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum, metro station, grocery stores, restaurants, and other popular areas in minutes. The owners were great to work with and were responsive and diligent in making sure our stay was positive. We would highly recommend this apartment to family and friends! Ryan MacDonald ”

I love this place

I am tempted to say very negative things about this apartment for the sole reason that I want to keep it all to myself. Strategically located in one of the most beautiful and “happening” places in Amsterdam, the apartment is well appointed, spacious, light-filled, and decorated in a style that is modern and comfy. The apartment’s best feature is undoubtedly the huge windows that allow you to see the activities below on Prinsengracht, as well as the traditional and beautiful architecture of the houses that line the canal. A bonus (at least for me) is that the “hop on, hop off” tour boat docks right across the street. I didn’t take the tour, but I had great fun people-watching over morning coffee. Another advantage is that directly below the apartment is a very tasty (and tasteful) restaurant, The apartment comes with a well-stocked kitchen, and tons of books (including guidebooks on Amsterdam). The washer & dryer were a lifesaver. My sole caveat is that the apartment is accessed by two flights of stairs, which — this being Europe — are more narrow than North Americans may be used to. Other than that cautionary note, this apartment is an ideal Amsterdam getaway retreat. I’ll be back. ”

Say YES to Amsterdam!

Our stay at the High End Canal House was fantastic. Our host could not have been nicer, and the location was fantastic. We walked all over the great city of Amsterdam, enjoying the great vibrancy, food, beauty, culture and museums. When we ventured out of the city, public transportation was easy and nearby. After full days of sightseeing, we came home to the well appointed flat that was charming and cozy, but the perfect size for two couples. We stayed on the run because there was much to see, but we would have also been content to simply enjoy the lovey views from the windows of boats meandering along the canals and the locals on bicycles. Amsterdam is very special place! Although is is bustling and busy, I was struck with how harmonious Amsterdam seems. No-one is hurried, impatient, pushing or honking. Instead, it is quiet, peaceful and stunningly beautiful. We will return!”

Unique High End Canal House

It could not have been more perfect. The canal house is in a ideal location and really gave you the feeling as though you were a local just living in the neighborhood. It’s really everything you want. As it has been said and other reviews, the steps are a bit tricky but that’s really nothing in comparison to everything else you get. At the end of the day it was nice to sit beside the big windows with them open and view the people going by on the streets and in the canal and the owners are fabulous. We cannot wait to return. ”

Memorable family moments

We expected a beautiful trip to Amsterdam when we reserved this apartment a few months ago, but were enchanted at how the location and beauty of this place facilitated our voyage. Close to everything you need to see, by walk or water-transportation (there is a boat CitySightSeeing stop in front of the door ! ), it helped a lot in finding what we expected. The very cozy place is also furbished with taste, in a very european way all the family loved. Thanks for everything ! Probably in the top 3 travels we had as a family !”

COOL CANAL HOUSE

We totally loved our visit to Amsterdam. The apartment is in a great location right near the Rijksmuseum and the "9 streets of shopping" - yay. Wonderful space to sit and watch the world go by with the large windows - the view across the canal was mesmerizing - the boats and other houses with their different gables. Situated in a quiet part of the city yet so close to everything. The very steep steps kept us fit but would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. Getting the suitcases up and down was fun! Wonderfully comfortable beds and well equiped kitchen make for an easy stay. Thank you to the charming owners for opening their home to us. We would so love to return one day. ”

Beautiful apartment in an excellent location

Had a fantastic week in Amsterdam. The apartment is in a perfect location. Bike rental is 1.5 blocks away and canal boats stop about 100ft away. Short walk to many excellent restaurants and museums. The apartment is very comfortable and well decorated with in house washer and dryer and a well equipped kitchen. The Dutch people are very friendly and we had no problem getting by speaking only English. It was an easy taxi ride from and to the airport, definitely do not rent a car.
