ITINERARY in brief:

Day 1: Arrival into Ecuador (OCT 26th)
Optional arrival city accommodations: Overnight in Guayaquil or Quito.
Day 2: Internal Flight to Islands & Embarkation (OCT 27th)
Fly to Galapagos islands and board M/V Evolution. Begin your journey circumnavigating Daphne Major, a paradise for sea birds.
Day 3: Galapagos Archipelago Exploration
Ride a Zodiac into the heart of a sunken volcano at Punta Vicente Roca. Swim among the sea turtles, penguins and sea horses. Explore the lava fields of Punta Espinosa. Watch whales from M/V Evolution's open-air deck.
Day 4: Galapagos Archipelago Exploration
Discover Isabela Island's uplifted section of sea floor in Urvina Bay. Observe tortoises, land iguanas and other critters in their natural environment. Cruise to Tagus Cove for snorkeling and bird watching.
Day 5: Galapagos Archipelago Exploration
Go to Bartolome Island and hike to the top of its dormant volcano, including Pinnacle Rock. Swim with the sea lions and penguins before hiking across the pahoehoe lava of Sullivan Bay.
Day 6: Galapagos Archipelago Exploration
Walk along the white sands of Bachas Beach looking for Sally Lightfoot crabs, black necked stilts and whimbrels. Snorkel in the calm waters where sea turtles nest. Embark on a sea kayaking excursion to watch for blue-footed boobies.
Day 7: Galapagos Archipelago Exploration
Begin the day in the forested highlands to spot giant tortoises. Stop at the Darwin Research Center to learn more about wildlife preservation on The Galapagos.
Day 8: Galapagos Archipelago Exploration
Explore the isolated island of Española by Zodiac. Discover some of its endemic species such as the Española mockingbird, lava lizard and marine iguanas. Ride to Punta Suarez to play with a sea lion colony. After lunch, relax, swim or kayak in scenic Gardner Bay.
Day 9: (NOV 3rd) Disembarkation & Internal Flight
End your Galapagos Islands cruise by returning to San Cristóbal to visit the Interpretation Center, opened by the park in 1998. Fly to Guayaquil or Quito.
Optional overnight accommodations in either city depending on your flight return schedule; if you opt to spend the night or are required due to flight schedules, then your departure date might be NOV 4th - see below.
Day 10: (NOV 4th) - alternate departure date to travel home based on the above mentioned flight schedule needs.
