This is a fabulous home for a great week at the beach. The 7 bedroom, 71/2 bath home was perfect! Beach access is just a few steps away at the end of a trex sidewalk leading straight from the home. The pool and hot tube are nice water options as well! Everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing week at the beach is available at the home. The home elevator provided easy access to all four floors when loading and unloading luggage. Numerous decks around the home provided great views of the ocean from almost every room. This is a very comfortable home that can accommodate a large group while still providing everyone a little privacy. ”

Wow, we cannot say enough good things.

Fantastic! A beautiful home, great decor, well appointed. Highly recommend.”

Spacious Beachfront home, quiet area

This property is a relatively newer upscale beachfront home with private pool on the very laid back St. George Island! The beach area is seldom crowded at all. Enjoyed the multiple outdoor decks and scenic views from all levels of the home! There was really no reason to leave the home all week. The state park and island restaurants are less than five minutes away, or right down the island bike path (in front of the home). Elevator made carrying groceries and suitcases up the four levels easy. Would love to return some time! ”

Wonderful week!

We had a perfect week! The management co was available by text for any questions or issues. I loved that. Lovely home with dolphin watching right off the balconies, The highlight was being able to use the kayaks and go out there with them! We loved that the area was not as commercial as some beaches. We heard the surf 24/7, which was heaven! We would love to go back some day.”

another great stay

This was our second time at this amazing house and it was better than the first time. Nice quiet beach and a house with room for 2 families.”

Amazing House!

This is an amazing home! The pictures really don't do it justice! You are literally right on the beach! The boardwalk puts you right out on the beach and plenty close enough to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean! The house is beautiful! The decorations, fixtures, and furniture are top of the line and beautiful! The hot tub and pool are amazing! Couple things to note. There are sharks in the water. They come RIGHT up to the shore so watch for that! No problems with them, but just something starteling when you aren't expecting them! Also amazing dolphin watching from the house and beach! They come by several times a day. There isn't a ton to do on the island (at least during December) so make sure to go grocery shopping before you get to the island. Also, the house has some games, but you may want to bring those type of things. Plan on cooking at the house because there are very few restaruants around that are open. The kitchen is huge and wonderful so you'll have all the utensils you'll need, but there are no spices or condiments so make sure to bring those! Overall HIGHLY recommend this house and would love to stay here again!”

Absolutely the BEST Property on the island!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Solitude! From the moment we arrived on Saint George Island, our blood pressure reduced, our breathing deepened, and that was before we were even in the amazing home, appropriately named Solitude. If you are looking for a well-appointed home, with abundant space, a plethora of natural light, in an ideal location for rest, relaxation and connection, then this is your dream come true. We spent a week at Solitude enjoying the privacy of the beach, the quietness of the area, and the style of the home. Being able to watch our children play in the sand, swim in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as lifeguard at the pool all from the various decks at the house was beyond convenient! The kids enjoyed playing hide and seek, beach-combing for amazing shells, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and swimming with dolphins – all within a 10 second walk out the back door. The outdoor shower allowed us to keep the house sand free, the fish cleaning sink outside enabled us to catch and prepare our own dinner! We enjoyed long walks along the shore, and encountering less than 20 people per day at the beach. You will leave the home feeling restored, rejuvenated, refreshed, and reconnected as a family or group of friends! Solitude, thank you for being the ideal vacation location for us!”

What an amazing house

It's impossible not to be impressed with this amazing house right on the beach in St. George Island. There were 8 of us and we all practically got our own room and bathroom. The kitchen was perfect for a large gathering and the owner was very helpful. Go and relax and be ready to eat your fill of oysters!!!”

Just got back from a great week at Solitude. The accommodations could not have been more perfect. Everything we could possibly imagine was there for our use. Setting is spectacular and we had a wonderful week. Not a lot to do there, which was fine with our group, so the name Solitude is perfect. Linda Rogers Mountain Club Cashiers North Carolina ”

Fabulous time! Great house and the name is perfect. We had two couples meet us there and we all had a blast! We fished in the surf and had bonfires on the beach. We had fresh fish every night. I would highly recomend it! We can't wait to return! Molly Harmon Waynesville, NC”

Great for an extended family vacation!

Everything about our stay at Solitude was superb! We had never been to St. George island before, and for those of you looking for prestige beaches without the tourist traps this is the place for you. The house was very spacious, the view exquisit, and the location perfect. We invited some friends and extended family members we rarely get to see. All in all we had 7 kids there with us for the week and it was the perfect house for the group. It is an ideal getwaway for a large group, you will not be disappointed. ”
