Tuscali, A Little Piece of Tuscany in Southern California
Topanga / Malibu, California
A little piece of Tuscany in Southern California. Nestled in the heart of the Santa Monica Mountains, Tuscali is situated in a gated property with mountain views across Topanga Canyon and the 13,000-acre Topanga State Park as its backyard where hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding abound. Also, there is world-class road bicycling from Topanga throughout the mountains in Malibu.
Tuscali is a private and peaceful setting adjacent to the rural village of Topanga from which to enjoy all that Los Angeles and Southern California have to offer. A brief, picturesque, 6-mile drive down the magnificent canyon will deliver you to the Pacific Ocean, offering the beaches of Malibu with Santa Monica just minutes away.
Topanga offers world-class jazz, equity theatre (in an outdoor amphitheater under majestic oaks) and extraordinary wine-tasting options throughout the beautiful Malibu Mountains, a short distance away. Enjoy quality dining nearby or a truly endless choice of restaurants in adjacent Los Angeles.
Tuscali offers quality furnishings, flat-screen televisions, movie streaming, full cable tv service, WiFi throughout, and a newly landscaped backyard with swimming pool.

Great week in Southern California
Tuscali is an idyllic and fabulous home owned by a wonderful couple, the Royers. We were greeted very warmly and took a tour of this gorgeous home and grounds upon arrival. The place and the surrounding environs were so relaxing that we hardly left and just visited the many sites of LA only after we left. Highly recommended.”
Fabulous SoCal location!
Beautiful home in a gorgeous part of LA with loads of hiking, biking and beaches within minutes. Bruce was super accommodating with house arrangements. The house is very comfortable, both inside and out with an excellent kitchen, fabulous family room and extremely comfortable bedrooms. A must rent and must return! ”
Thanksgiving in Tuscali
This is a lovely home and was the perfect location for two families to share Thanksgiving week. Malibu beaches and Santa Monica restaurants were easy to get to (about a 20 minute scenic drive), and the home was very well appointed - so we made our own Thanksgiving dinner! The grounds are very nice and we took advantage of the local trails accessible from the home for some hiking. We had a fun and relaxing stay and highly recommend!”
Tuscali, Topanga, California
Beautiful location and very comfortable setting for a family. ”
An oasis of calm...
Tuscali really was an extraordinary mixture of Tuscan views, yet set in an idyllic and tranquil canyon just outside Los Angeles. The house was immaculately clean and very luxurious. We particularly loved the beautiful garden with its incredible views and the fact that you could take a hike straight from the house. Bruce was a kind and attentive host and it was lovely to meet him. Until next time...!”
We felt so lucky to have had this entire home for the week, as it normally functions as a B&B. The owners, Bruce and Teresa, waited for us to arrive and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. This home is beautiful and well equipped, with comfortable beds and a serene yard. Each bedroom is luxurious (with the fourth bedroom doubling as an office), the family room is large and inviting, and the kitchen is a joy. While we were out site seeing most days, our morning breakfasts outside were tranquil and the evenings were enjoyable by the water fountain and the calming wind chime. (I'm looking to acquire one myself!) This home sits in the mountains above Pacific Coast Hwy and the drive is easy should you want to go to Malibu or Santa Monica. There are plenty of shops nearby, very good restaurants, and loads to do in LA. Thanks to Teresa and Bruce for sharing their exceptional home. I could have lounged on the patio the whole time enjoying the view!”
2nd Time at Tuscali
This is the perfect place. That's why we came back for the second time. ”
One of my favorites!
I love Topanga Canyon and Tuscali is a big reason. It is a perfect setting. Backing up to Topanga park where I would enjoy a stunning walk in nature every morning for about 45 minutes. Centrally located to be in Malibu in about 10 minutes or up on the 101 in about 15 minutes. One night I had dinner at Sam's by the Beach off PCH and Channel Road. The address is 108 W. Channel Road Santa Monica. Sam comes over and makes sure you are happy. Everything I had there was amazing. The master suite at Tuscali has a great private sunning deck and downstairs a perfect outdoor dining and sitting area. Wi-fi in the house is excellent. ”
Theresa and Bruce have a lovely home tucked into the privacy of the canyons. Everything was meticulous right down to the minute details. We really enjoyed our stay at Tuscali ! The hosts were extremely helpful and hospitable as well. ”
Everything was great!
Everything was great! We had a such a great time in Malibu. The house was very beautiful and the Host was delightful. She was very helpful but also left us to enjoy our vacation. The park in the back was great for hiking. We absolutely loved going to the beach everyday, which was just right down the hill.”
