Christmas Family Vacation 2017
Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay in the Heritage Place Inspiration Cottage managed by Fairmont. Our check in with Inspiration was a breeze and they had fresh cookies ready for new arrivals (and daily). The cottage offered plenty of space with privacy and was stocked with everything we needed, maintained and organized. If we needed a specialty item, they had it in the Clubhouse office. Having a television in every room was awesome. My wife enjoyed the upstairs den for her quiet time, away from televised football games. The property staff members were amazing and made our stay complete. Having fresh coffee, espresso with steamed milk and hot chocolate in the clubhouse each morning and snacks in the afternoon was a bonus. We enjoyed the hot tub, fitness center, gas fire logs and gas grill on the screened in porch. Staying in Sandestin Resort offseason meant minimal traffic within the resort and plenty of bikes available for exploring. We would love to return to Inspiration. Being that our reservation was through the resort, we also received 4 hours of complimentary bicycles daily and had access to the Resort fitness center.”
Great Place and Outstanding Staff
We really enjoyed our stay at the Miramar Beach/Sandestin Luxury Cottage. Our cottage included everything we needed and more. We liked the location and the staff made sure we had a great stay. We'll definitely come back.”
Enjoyable home on a golf course in the enormous Sandestin Club & Resort complex. Marina shops & restaurants and complex can be fun.
Very pleasant stay in a proper free-standing home in this enormous complex. Relatively well-appointed and well located. (Front door complex needs to be better maintained and revarnished-- quite worn) 5 minutes to beach across the Hwy 98 to the south side of the Sandestin Club. We were there to attend a wedding and to work-- so not sure I would choose to stay again in August (but that is not a fault of the house-- ha ha) given the heat and humidity. It was our first time to the Florida panhandle-- very "deep South" in terms of the folks who frequent this area (Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee). Don't miss going over to Santa Rosa Beach and check out Rosemary Beach/Alys Beach to break things up. We'd stay here again, esp. October to April! ”
A Very Lovely Villa!
Overall, we have a lovely time with our grandchildren. We enjoyed the variety of activities on offer.......the house was beautifully decorated, spacious, modern and very comfortable. I recognize that the owners do not have control over some aspects of our overall experience, but to give a balanced and honest perspective, I think some points are worth sharing. Parking is very limited and they have very strict rules about the size of the vehicle one may have on the property. The beach was very, crowded and the water was a bit rough at times for the younger children. Best time to go to the beach was late afternoon/evening when the crowd thinned out considerably. Be sure to bring lots of funds for the themed "park" areas! The prices of the activities and food were a bit high for the value received...$20 each for a 5 year old and 8 year old for a two way Zip line ride that lasted about 15 seconds......a tiny (and I do mean tiny) scoop of ice cream was $3.50. That said, the area is very well developed and packed with activities for a family vacation. For the shoppers, there is a great outlet Mall in the area and worth a visit - especially to the Le Creuset Store.”
