At Belize Ocean Club Resort, pamper yourself with a treatment at the full-service spa or have fun in the sun with activities like kayaking and volleyball. Guests can put their mind at ease with a drink at one of the resort's bars, which include 2 bars/lounges, a beach bar, and a swim-up bar.
With one foot in the Central American jungles and the other in the Caribbean Sea, Belize may be smaller than most, but it's packed with adventure and culture.
Belize boasts the largest number of ancient Maya ruins in Central America, and they run the gamut from the easily accessible Altun Ha, the closest to Belize City, to more remote structures such as Nim Li Punit in the south and Lamanai to the north. The most well-known and largest of the ruins in Belize is Caracol, a 55 square-mile city that was once one of the most powerful cities in the Maya world. The largest pyramid within Caracol is Caana, which, at about 140 feet, is still the largest man-made building in Belize.

Beautiful resort in a fascinating country
One of our best trips for a while. Took a while to get there from UK but definitely worth it. This intriguing country with its iconaclastic history offers Mayan ruins, jaguar tracking jungles, miles of beautiful beaches and one of the best preserved coral reefs for the divers and snorkellers among you. Staff were attentive and super friendly. Our apartment was given a very thorough clean every day and the food is good. There are also lots of other restaurants in Placencia (25 min drive) that we went to a few times. And an ok supermarket if you prefer to self cater. Our only small challenge was the under equipped kitchen. Great fridge and stove but almost no crockery or utensils. We managed to purloin some and buy some but it was a small inconvenience. If you go for this, I recommend going inland to see the ruins (2-3 hrs drive through amazing scenery) and offshore to swim with giant turtles and sharks. The rest of the time chill in the huge pool or on the beach (it really is right there). Or go crazy and use the gym or onw of the kayaks or paddleboards. ”
The Ocean Club Resort was perfect for a guys dive trip. The rooms were large enough and the service was excellent. The food at the restaurant was quite good and one day we brought back fish and lobsters from spearfishing and they cooked it for us. The only negative for the resort was that the drinks were quite expensive for the area. The resort is a 20 minute ride into Placencia so you need to plan accordingly”

A Lovely Resort
The property is on a beautiful private beach. The most beautiful beach that we saw while visiting Belize. The food was OUTSTANDING! We ate all of our meals at the resort, either on the beach at the beach bar or in the formal dining area. We enjoyed some beautiful dives through the 5 Star Padi Dive Shop that is located on property. Beautiful coral reefs, very large (6 ft plus) nurse sharks and beautiful fish. Paddle boarding was really fun right off the beach and in the very clear blue water you could see hundreds of star fish and sand dollars...they were everywhere. The actual suites were not as well appointed as other third home similar type places and did not look like the photos. We had two, two bedroom suites as our son and his wife were traveling with us. Both suites had clearly been updated but could use some work. The bathrooms were very small and the furniture and curtains etc. were dated. We had a HUGE balcony but only two small wooden chairs outside. Many of the beach lounge chairs were broken and uncomfortable. There were no cushions on the wicker lounges. One other note.. it was pretty cold while we were there. Highs were only in the mid 70's and 60's at night. I'm not sure if this was unusual or the norm, but for us Belize was pretty cold in January.”
This is a lovely condo with very friendly staff. The pool is great and the restaurant is just fine. Be aware that the town is about 20 minutes away. There is a fabulous restaurant, Maya Bistro, within walking distance. The club is clean and the people very helpful and friendly.”
Welcoming, charming resort on Maya Beach
The Belize Ocean Club Resort is perhaps the nicest property on Maya Beach, offering a full service hotel with restaurant, beach bar, water sports, local transportation, and tour desk. Other accommodations in the area tend to be small lodges and/or cottages with limited amenities, so the BOCR is clearly the best bet for a more full-service experience. At Belize Ocean Club, the staff were welcoming and accommodating. The property is pretty, both on the ocean and the lagoon sides. The suites are simple, clean, and equipped with the basics. The on-site restaurant and neighboring restaurants are quite good. We enjoyed our snorkeling excursion to the Silk Cayes and day-trip to the Mayan Ruins in western Belize, both arranged through local tour companies in Placencia. Thank you for a lovely stay!”
