Beautiful home with spectacular view!

We had a wonderful stay in Casa Monte Santa Luzia. The owners and their property manager were very accommodating. If you are looking to get out of the city and have an authentic experience in Portugal with access to the beaches of the Algarve, you'll love this place. The small town of Loule is charming and the views from the house go all the way to the ocean. They have done a beautiful job with their landscaping and pool area. We had a very enjoyable stay. ”

Portugal Vacation

We stayed at that house for 2 weeks and it was very well taken care of. The beddings were much nicer than in the pictures. All the toys to entertain children were there. The kitchen was very practical and well equipped. The downside is that it was a little far away in the country from the usual areas for villa rentals. We did not appreciate the dogs barking all night and all day, but those are the neighbours so I imagine that there is not much you could do regarding this issue. Aside from that, it was a very nice stay and a beautiful house. Thanks!”

Fabulous villa in peaceful location

Casa Monte Santa Luzia is the perfect place to spend a relaxing week in the sunny Algarve. The villa is beautifully kept and very well equipped - there's little reason to leave. But if you want to travel further afield there are wonderful local restaurants and interesting places to visit within easy driving distance. ”

Wow, wow and another WOW!

We had decided we wanted to check out Portugal, and we targeted the Algarve area, or the for south of Portugal. We flew into Faro Airport from Madrid, and our kids took the train to Faro from Lisbon. In Faro, we rented a van as there were 6 of us. We headed to Casa Monte Santa Luzia following the owner's perfect directions and got our first wow. This casa is a castle on the hill. You can actually see if from down below as we work our way towards it. The views are great, the house is great, Andrew and his wife are great, their manager Alison, is great. It really was a perfect location to do what we did. We used it as our oasis, our hub, as we explored the Algarve but with a day trip to Seville and another to Morocco. Other trips to Logos, To the nearby beach, to a winery.... just wow and lots of wows. We really couldn't have asked for anything better for what we were doing. Actually I think the location forced us to stick to our plan. Had we been down in a town by the sea, we could have gotten lazy and not done the exploring we set out to do. I'd say the only "inconvenience" was that we picked Wednesday as our lazy afternoon by the pool day and to catch up on laundry. That was the afternoon the landscapers came and we had to take down the laundry and get out of the pool so they could clean it. So it was probably posted somewhere but we missed it. But even the landscapers were great and tried to cause as little harm as possible. One even found a struggling baby dove and brought it over and gave it water from the garden hose to help it survive then gently placed in a tree out of harms way. A great place, a great county, filled with great people and great ThirdHome owners!! ”
