Bretaye is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps, located above Villars-sur-Ollon in the canton of Vaud. In winter, Bretaye is the main ski area of Villars and a chairlift leads to the summit of Le Chamossaire

Hotel du Lac is situated in the heart of the Bretaye ski basin above Villars-sur-Ollon at an altitude of 1800m.

Hotel Du Lac, is next to the chairlifts and ski school meeting point, the chalet is the perfect haven for skiiers and their families, offering beautifully appointed rooms. All luxury ensuite rooms feature a super king bed.

Accessible by cog train or skis. The cog train winds through Alpine meadows, pine forests and an opening South facing plateau. During the ski season there are 2 trains every half hour from Villars station to Bretaye, with the last train departing Villars at 5:30pm prompt.

The hotel's restaurant is open to the public during the days, offering generous portions of fondues, burgers and other casual options, as well as a fine wine list. The seating is either inside or on our extensive south facing terrace.
