Perfect Winter Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old Greenwood. It was comfortable with room for a three generation family to feel at home. Close enough to Truckee and a 15 minute drive to Northstar where we skied and the younger ones went snowboarding. Access to the Tahoe Mountain Club was wonderful and the highlight of our visit. Favorite place in Truckee

We love staying at Old Greenwood. The ‘cabins’ have the best floor plans with huge windows overlooking the golf course and beautiful trees. The house is clean, modern, and perfectly curated with lovely artwork. The jacuzzi on the deck is perfect for an end of day soak. We used the BBQ on the deck for a fun cook in dinner night and played many rounds of pool at the table in upstairs loft. Except for salt and pepper, there are no food ‘supplies’ so plan your recipes in advance and bring what you need. The clubhouse has a great gym and I took advantage of the free daily stretch or exercise classes they offer. Skiing had closed for the season but the Legacy Bike Trail was open and we rented bikes at Bike Truckee on Palisades Dr, conveniently located across from the beautiful paved trail. Super nice, helpful owners there. We also enjoy simply walking throughout the community and taking in the mountain scenery. This is definitely a 5 star stay! ”
