great house ...great beach
my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this property. First the house....It is huge...we sometimes debated which of several ways we would go from the main floor to the upstairs. artfully decorated with great outdoor furniture to make your deck sittings fun. The Beach... so a few houses down from the property is a nature preserve that goes on for at least a mile...no homes just beautiful beaches in a very natural setting. This is as good as it gets for a wonderful beach home.”
We had an amazing time at Double Heaven. The house is a lovely decorated beach front welcoming comfy home and the area surrounding the house is beautiful. We saw alligators, deer, rabbits, dolphins, turtles and many birds, The beach is full of seashells and we loved walking up and down our private beach. Wonderful sunrises from the house. We didn't even want to leave the house for it is so relaxing and has everything you need or want. This was our first time to South Carolina so we did visit many great restaurants, Magnolia plantation, Fort Sumter, Pawley Island, Isle of Palms, Georgetown and Charleston, Sitting on the porch swing is heavenly as is the whole area surrounding you. Double Heaven , yes the house and the surrounding area. Thank you for sharing your home.....”
What a great week we had. This beautiful property was outstanding. The seven of us were extremely comfortable and there was easily enough room for twice that many people in this spacious house right on the beach. The unexpected elevator came in handy when my wife broke her leg a few weeks before our trip. She was able to travel freely between floors with her scooter. Our favorite spot was the two twin bed sized swinging couches on the porch. They are so great I took pictures and measurements so I can make one for my own house. The beach is gorgeous and flat, wide and endless for long comfortable walks. The six person golf cart was handy for cruising the nature trails and travel to the Debordieu beach club which offered a great meal right on the beach. We also loved the ping pong table and full sized indoor shuffleboard table on the fourth floor. We took day trips to Charleston and Myrtle beach and had high tea at Hopsewee plantation. This relaxing week could not have been better. Thank you Michael for making your house available to third home. Would love to come back again.”
We want to go back!
Our family had a wonderful stay at Double Heaven, The first half of the week was cool and rainy, but the house provided so many distractions, that we didn't even notice the weather. From the game room up on the top floor to the many reading nooks around the home, we actually really enjoyed staying inside. When the weather got nice, the amazing location on the beach provided us with stuff to do from early morning walks to find shells (wow, there are a lot of shells there) to evening walks to dinner at the Beach Club. A great supply of plastic tools let the kids (and maybe the parents) build sand forts and castles. Design and architecture of the home are great, too. We'll be back!”
