Enjoy your stay at a stunning modern beach house in Palm Beach, just north of Sydney. This house is perched high on the hill with dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean, beaches and Barrenjoey Headland. The three bedroom home is 3,000 square feet and can accommodate up to six guests.
Designed by well-known Sydney architect Casey Brown (http://www.caseybrown.com.au/pacific-house/zfjxwxx4wrcdx46lwn1cemmg43t4gc), Pacific House is an example of modern Australian architecture at its best.
The three-bedroom house is simple and minimalist with an interesting use of materials and exquisite detail. The entry level features a sundeck, lounge room, bathroom and plunge pool with breathtaking views.
The upper level features an open floor plan with a kitchen, living, and dining room. The floor to ceiling windows bring amazing coastal views into this space. Three large sliding doors open the room onto the timber deck for outside dining and the beautiful open air. On this level there are two bedrooms, both with Queen sized beds.
In a separate pavilion, there is a Master suite which features sweeping views from the King sized bed. Folding glass doors offer access to the room’s private balcony.
The home floats above a large garden with an outdoor seating area offering water views and a fire pit.
In summer the house is naturally cooled by the sea breeze, the main room has air-conditioning if needed and all bedrooms have ceiling fans. In winter the main room has a fireplace, the bathrooms have heated concrete floors and the pool can be heated as well.
Palm Beach is a small exclusive beachside community of Sydney, an hour from the city center. It is located at the top of the northern beaches peninsula, surrounded by ocean surf on one side and the calm waters of Pittwater on the other.
Guests can expect to enjoy beautiful surf beaches, bushwalking in the national park, water sports, golf, and many local shops and restaurants.
The beach is a short, steep walk down the hill or a 2 minute drive. The Southern corner has an ocean pool and is usually sheltered from the swell and better for children. The Northern end of the beach is famous as one of Sydney’s best surf beaches (and also famous as the location of “Summer Bay” in the long-running TV drama series Home & Away!).
A car is recommended as there is no close public transport.

Pacific House is a great house in an even better location - just about the best views in Palm Beach. The hosts Patrick and Karen could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.”
Thank you to the owners of Pacific House for allowing us to stay yet again in their amazing house - the peace of the garden and the view of Palm beach are both calming and enjoyable. ”
We loved our stay at Pacific House. The architecture was inspiring and the views magnificent. The well planned out gardens offer so much to look at. Wonderfully comfortable beds (but you do need eye shades as no window covers). The steep steps to the beach kept us fit and swims in the sea were so refreshing. Thank you to Karen and Patrick for a super stay, we so appreciate it.”
