Description

Pacific House

Enjoy your stay at a stunning modern beach house in Palm Beach, just north of Sydney. This house is perched high on the hill with dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean, beaches and Barrenjoey Headland. The three bedroom home is 3,000 square feet and can accommodate up to six guests.

Designed by well-known Sydney architect Casey Brown (http://www.caseybrown.com.au/pacific-house/zfjxwxx4wrcdx46lwn1cemmg43t4gc), Pacific House is an example of modern Australian architecture at its best.

The three-bedroom house is simple and minimalist with an interesting use of materials and exquisite detail. The entry level features a sundeck, lounge room, bathroom and plunge pool with breathtaking views.

The upper level features an open floor plan with a kitchen, living, and dining room. The floor to ceiling windows bring amazing coastal views into this space. Three large sliding doors open the room onto the timber deck for outside dining and the beautiful open air. On this level there are two bedrooms, both with Queen sized beds.

In a separate pavilion, there is a Master suite which features sweeping views from the King sized bed. Folding glass doors offer access to the room’s private balcony.

The home floats above a large garden with an outdoor seating area offering water views and a fire pit.

In summer the house is naturally cooled by the sea breeze, the main room has air-conditioning if needed and all bedrooms have ceiling fans. In winter the main room has a fireplace, the bathrooms have heated concrete floors and the pool can be heated as well.

Palm Beach is a small exclusive beachside community of Sydney, an hour from the city center. It is located at the top of the northern beaches peninsula, surrounded by ocean surf on one side and the calm waters of Pittwater on the other.

Guests can expect to enjoy beautiful surf beaches, bushwalking in the national park, water sports, golf, and many local shops and restaurants.

The beach is a short, steep walk down the hill or a 2 minute drive. The Southern corner has an ocean pool and is usually sheltered from the swell and better for children. The Northern end of the beach is famous as one of Sydney’s best surf beaches (and also famous as the location of “Summer Bay” in the long-running TV drama series Home & Away!).

A car is recommended as there is no close public transport.

North Beaches of Sydney - Stunning Property!

We had a spectacular stay in Palm Beach, NSW. 40 minutes from Sydney airport, this modern home is perfect for a week-long stay surrounded by beautiful beaches and great food, even a little pickleball. The contemporary, beautifully designed home was perfect for our group. The master was a treat; we felt like we lived in a tree house all week. We walked the steps down to the beach, which was fun and just enough of a challenge. The walk-up to the lighthouse is challenging but worth the effort. We stopped at Casa on the walk back and enjoyed a cold beer. We loved the atmosphere at BarrenJoey House and especially would recommend the bar area or outside sitting if the weather is nice. The best coffee we found in Avalon down an alley way. It's called The Hungry Ghost; the cappuccinos, hands down the best, and all their bites were amazing, too. The best meal we had was in the village of Avalon called Bistro Boulevard. We met an incredible pickleball coach, Ian "Hutch" Hutchinson. He is the real deal, whether you are a beginner or a high-level player - PickleballCoachingAustralia.com.au. We ended up having a bit of rainy weather while here in the summer, it did not put a damper on our stay. Our group was 50-70's, all active. Thank you to our hosts, Patrick and Karen! They made the processes very easy. They even set us up with some breakfast treats since we had a late arrival coming in from Maui. They were always available with recommendations. The loveliest of Views!

What a wonderful time we had at this spectacular home. The location is perfect and we enjoyed the special jungle walk down to the beach. The home was cozy and perfectly laid out for an enjoyable vacation for couples. So many great walks and so nearby!”

Architectural house in perfect setting

Wow! I stayed at Pacific house for almost 2 weeks in September, the location is beautiful, the house is an architectural standout, the views are impressive. Spacious interior, sun drenched living and terrace deck, the perfect setting to relax in. We enjoyed the local cafes, walks to the beach and Sunday markets. Thanks to Patrick for accepting our request to stay. ”
