Nosara, Costa Rica
Tranquil Costa Rican Villa
Nestled as close to the beach as you can get in this tropical paradise, The Beach House in Nosara has everything that you are coming to Costa Rica for: the surf, the natural beauty, the tranquility, the proximity to a wide range of activities. And all wrapped up in a wonderfully appointed villa that will offer you all of the comforts of home where you will relax and take in all that the Playa Guiones area has to offer.
Unlike most coastal tourist towns, Nosara lacks nearly any development directly on the beach as much of it consists of the Ostional Wildlife Refuge, which is necessary due to the presence of breeding Olive Ridley and Leatherback sea turtle populations. Literally hundreds of thousands of sea turtles flock here annually to lay their eggs.
Whether you are the type of person who likes to plan every moment of your vacation or just relax and take it as it comes, Nosara has something for everyone. For the Yogi in you, there’s the world-renowned Nosara Yoga Institute. Since 1994, devotees have flocked here to become more attuned to the practice, whether seeking education on instruction or partaking in public classes, the Institute is widely sought after as a year-round destination. In addition, you will find several studios in the area offering yoga instruction at all levels.
Once you’ve re-centered yourself, you may be ready for some adventure! Consider all that a Coastal community like Nosara’s has to offer: deep sea and sport fishing, stand up paddling, kayaking in the nearby river, snorkeling and last but not least, surfing.
If you’re more of a landlubber, you can walk on the beach (choose between black or pink sand if you like), take an eco-tour, go horseback riding in the mountains, enjoy a zip line or canopy tour, or visit the village of Nosara – just three miles from the coast – where you will find small hotels, shops and incredible restaurants.
Chefs from around the globe have settled in Nosara and their influence is apparent, with gourmet cuisine ranging from Italian to French to Mediterranean to local flavors; your taste buds will be pleasantly surprised and your options are many.

I took my family to Nosara for our spring break and at the request of a friend to visit this tranquil surf community. From the moment we arrived the experience was incredible. I must say, Rick Wilkins, the host owner absolutely made the difference. He was available upon arrival, made everyone feel welcome and at home, the location of this property couldn't be better. A short walk to the beach, a very secure Villa which was complete with all the necessities one would expect, a very private and delightful pool area, all within safe and secure privately fenced development for ultimate privacy. Rick also made available to us his personal cleaning team and chef who made us incredible local dishes every day, and pampered us with their kind way only local Costa Ricans can offer. The weather in April was very warm and dry, the beach was exceptionally clean and the waves were like we've never seen before, great for boarding, surfing, or simply cooling off. Rick has an incredible location, beautifully constructed property, and well suited for vacationers looking to relax and take in the local culture. We thoroughly enjoyed are time and only wished the week could last longer. Many thanks to Rick, Clara, and Vicente for taking good care of my family during our first but certainly not last Costa Rican adventure. ”
