Beautiful Home in Sea Pines

Although our stay in Hilton Head was oddly rainy and cloudy, Laurie's home still made the vacation wonderful. The home is beautiful, there is ample space, a large kitchen, and many windows to overlook little creek outside (we even caught a glimpse of a couple gators!) The home has everything you need. The location was also great being right in Sea Pines you're just a short distance away from beach access, shops, and so many other wonderful spots on the island. Would definitely recommend The Farris' home for a relaxing Hilton Head vacation.”

This home was just perfect for our family over Thanksgiving. The home was very roomy and alot of natural light (the pictures online do not do it justice). It was well furnished and had many unique accessories that made you feel right at home. The location could not have been better within Sea Pines. It was perfect and I would stay there again every year!”

Location, location, location … and a mythical alligator named Al

Going to Hilton Head Island in mid summer might suggest finding a place right on the beach. But in this case we took a chance on a property that is basically half way between the ocean and the bay. As it turned out, it was a great location. Only a short seven minute walk to a small mall with a trolley stop which serves as the hub for the three available routes which encompassed our own location, the Beach Club (access to the ocean for swimming), South Beach (home to the Famous Salty Dog Café) and Harbor Town (home of some great and often unusual shopping). Whichever place you choose to go is a very short ride and you can board with your beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Taking the trolley also helps avoid the otherwise required $10 parking fee at the country club across the street from the Beach Club. The hub stop also included a bicycle rental shop and since bike trails litter the entire area, biking is a great way to get around. The trolley is free (though tipping is expected). What a convenience if you don’t want to cart everyone around by car. The home sits on the edge of a small lake (which, as both the owner and a sign on the lake itself warn) is allegedly sometimes home to an alligator (my wife named him Al.) While we never actually saw him you might want to err on the side of caution and supervise small children whenever they are playing out back. The house is beautiful and has all the comforts of home. The owner provided a wealth of great information prior to our arrival with respect to entertainment and restaurants (of which there are many) in the area. Once we arrived we also discovered a well organized notebook full of brochures and maps of the island. Needless to say, she didn’t steer us wrong. Everything she suggested was incredible. There are several grocery stores within a short drive from the main gate, including Kroger, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, etc. There are also a couple of miniature golf courses in that area which adults and children alike will no doubt enjoy. Knowing we would be traveling by plane, Laurie, the owner, kindly left a couple of beach chairs outside the door for us to use while we were there. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer or more thoughtful hostess. So if you are looking for a fantastic place to stay in the Hilton Head area this is it. Note: unlike my experience at other islands, I found that the gas was cheaper on the island than off. ”

Sea Pines Resort

We had an excellent trip to Hilton Head with the family. The house was great and Laurie was extremely accommodating. The property is located right in the middle of Sea Pines with easy access to South Beach, Harbor Town and the Beach Club. Definitely bring or rent bikes while there as the bike path is right next to the house. Have fun fishing in the pond behind the house, but be on the lookout for the resident alligator!
