Fantastic Maine Getaway
The Camden, Maine home was beautiful! The location and grounds were perfect. Also, the home was very roomy and had everything we needed for our family get together. Patty was an excellent host and the caretaker checked on us and was a great help as well.”
One of the best host in our club!
The home is exceptional and the location can't be beat. However, what makes the experience truly amazing is how fantastic our host was and how special she made us feel. From the arrival to the departure, our host thought of every detail. The home even had a crib for my 8 month old grandson. We cooked and ate 21 lobsters at home! If you go to this home, get in touch with me, I have a local lobster fisherman that will catch your lobsters off the Camden Coast and you can buy them for $4.70 per lb. Also try in Camden the Rhumb Line where you can sit outside dock side and enjoy fantastic local seafood. Less than 2 hours is Acadia National Park where you can hike along the coast. About an hour south, we hired a local fisherman to take us fishing in the Kennebec River where we brought in some good size Stripers. The home itself is very private in a quiet setting with lots of space for a family of any size. We found a fun hike just outside of downtown Camden called Mt Battie and it is a vertical hike up about 800 ft with panoramic views to the Camden Harbor and ocean. Anyone who is lucky enough to get this home and guest will treasure the memories for a long long time. Wade Shealy, Tripp and Carlisle Shealy ( baby Ellis) Adam Shealy and Bridget Ramey. ”
A Great Stay
We visited the Carriage House in late May. Six adults had more than enough room to spread out and relax in comfort. The home is filled with countless antiques and more than ample supplies in every drawer and closet. Appliances were top notch as well. The grounds were blooming with spring flowers and new grass. The coastal town of Camden and the surrounding area was exceptionally beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed by all. ”
This is our third year staying at Seabrook Farm Carriage House and we loved it just as much as the last two years. The home is just gorgeous and extremely comfortable. The owners are wonderful and gracious. It is impossible to have better lobster anywhere. We cannot wait to return. Cecilia Kempton and Don Anderson ”
Incredible house and incredible host
My family and I stayed at the Seabrook Farm Carriage House for two weeks at the end of June and the beginning of July. This is the second time we have stayed there and I think It was even better than the first. The home is perfect and impeccable and so very warm and inviting. Although there is a beautiful dining room, we most often ate in the amazing kitchen. Patty, the host, has every imaginable Item one could want. It is a pleasure to cook there. The home is surrounded by a State Park and the evenings are amazingly peaceful and beautiful. Anyone staying in this stunning home will have a glorious time and come away with a great appreciation for the love and attention to detail. Cecilia Kempton”
"Time in New England....took me away....."
"To long rocky beaches.......and you by the bay....." I can't help but hum Barry Manilow reminiscing about our stay in Camden. We had an absolutely fabulous time at Seabrook Farm. Picture a gorgeous lovingly restored 100 year old carriage house sitting on eleven acres abutting Camden State Park. We sat out front every morning -- with the sun on our faces -- listening to a symphony of songbirds while gazing upon the lavender field, even better yet while swinging in the hammock. The house is very spacious with numerous rooms in which to congregate and the master bedroom suite is full of light from many windows, even a distant ocean view. Rustic charm has been preserved while modern conveniences (even an ice maker) are present throughout. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to prepare even the most elaborate meals, and there are innumerable books and pamphlets providing information about the local area. We arrived to numerous edible goodies (many locally sourced) provided by our most gracious host Patty, who is a wealth of information re local attractions and eateries. The location is superb: just off the main road for privacy and that 'country feeling', yet only five minutes from Camden, an adorable town with the prettiest harbor on the east coast. We explored local attractions and beaches, ate endless lobster rolls, went sailing on a schooner, and spent time in beautiful (not to be missed) Acadia National Park, just 1.5 hours away. Looking forward to returning in the future! ”
Gorgous home. fabulous hostess. Immaculate in every detail”
Beauty and Serenity!!!
Words cannot express the feeling of graciousness and extraordinary peacefulness upon entering this amazing 100 year old Carriage House. Every aspect of the house was perfect, from the wonderful views of Penobscot Bay to the gorgeous grounds. Our host, Patty, could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Her enthusiasm about he Camden area was infectious. The local seafood was wonderful and the Day Sailing was sublime. We had a fantastic stay in this home and would recommend it to everyone. Patty also left us a beautiful basket of Maine specialties and lovely wine. She is the epitome of Maine hospitality. Thank you again, Patty, for all you did to make us feel welcome. Cecilia Kempton ”
An aesthetic masterpiece!
Seabrook is a beautifully renovated carriage house which has retained all of its original charm. Its complex architectural design allows for many separate gathering places for different groups of family and friends, while retaining an intimate feeling. The gardens and decks are beautifully landscaped, allowing for a great outdoor experience. The location overlooking Penobscot Bay and adjacent to the State Park can't get any better! Patty Fletcher could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I hope I get the chance to return next year. ”
Seabrook Farm Carriage House
Our stay at Seabrook Farm Carriage House was fantastic. We were two couples and everyone agreed the house was very special. All of the reviews are right on. We especially enjoyed the game room, the wonderful kitchen and the living room where we sat and planned our days. If you get a chance, take your family and or friends to stay at The Carriage House, THEY WILL LOVE IT. The summer weather in Maine is great and the Camden area has lots to offer, we had a wonderful stay. Tom and Joann Lewis - July 2014”
The house in all ways exceeded our expectations. More than big enough for just us two. The grounds were nicely kept, the house in impeccable condition for it's age, and just so in furnishes and amenities. The jacuzzi was a treat, especially with the chilly Maine weather, and the provided a very nice welcome basket with Maine sweets and treats. The owner and I kept in great communication for our entire stay, and we are already thinking about visiting there again next year!”
Fantastic time at Seabrook Farm "Carriage" House
Yes I put "Carriage" in quotes - as it is far from what one would consider a house for carriages. The home is fantastic. Not a detail is left out. The kitchen has everything one could ever want. A beautiful location, with a wonderful view of the water. Patty has done a remarkable job of decorating every detail of the old home in an informal, cozy, welcoming style. Her housekeeper also is friendly, helpful and does great work in keeping up the home and grounds. We had a restful, fun and memorable time in Camden and the beautiful surrounding areas. A great home! Thanks for sharing. ”
Seabrook Farm Carriage House
Our visit to Seabrook Farm Carriage House in Camden, Maine was wonderful. It is a fabulous century old home in a beautiful, quiet setting surrounded by lovely gardens. Patty, the owner did everything possible to make our stay memorable. There was an elegant basket filled with delicious Maine products for us when we arrived. She also had information on the best restaurants and the various sights and activities in the area. Her home is quite lovely and filled with wonderful books, c/d 's, movies, puzzles, etc. The kitchen is the best equipped one we have ever seen. There was so much to do in Camden and other towns close by that we didn't take advantage of all there was to offer at the house. It would be wonderful to spend a day in the hammock reading a book and enjoying the beautiful flowers. We loved every minute of our stay of our stay.”
