September in Paris
We went to Paris in September 2021, soon after Europe opened to US visitors. This was not our first trip to Paris, so we were not looking for scheduling too much sightseeing. We loved our stay as we got exactly what we were hoping for: living as Parisians for a week. It was so much fun to eat at local places (all outside seating), shop in local supermarkets, walk everywhere, and get metro passes just like locals. The place was perfect: cozy, very clean, comfortable, and close to everything. The bedroom was very quiet, and the bedding was so great that we had no jet lag on the second day. The hosts were wonderful, and provided a lot of information well in advance. There was also a book in the apartment with rules of the apartment, explanations about appliances, and a list of best places to shop and eat. We enjoyed our stay, and would love to go back to Paris in September.”
Charming flat near the Eiffel Tower
This apartment is very centrally located so even though there was a transit strike, we were able to get to places easily with Uber. There are restaurants and markets nearby as well as a pharmacy on the corner (we got the flu!). The main rooms are very spacious and the bed is a King (though it says Queen in the listing). There are extra heaters which were useful as this was January. Shower room is a challenge for two people getting ready at the same time, but this seems to be quite common in Paris in general. The WC is separate with a small sink so that helped. Kitchen has all the amenities including a dishwasher and a washing machine that turns into a dryer, also a luxury for Parisian apartments. We were met by a property manager so getting in and figuring out everything was easy. Communication with our host was always quick and responsive. The owner has left a very helpful manual which included recommendations for places to visit, shop and eat. It was wonderful to live like a local in Paris.”
We have been to Judy’s fabulous 7th Arrondissement apartment several times in the past and, as usual, it never fails to amaze me . It is perfect in every way. If anything it gets better. The location , of course, is wonderful with magical views of the Eiffel Tower every time you turn a corner. The nearby market is not to be missed and there are tremendous transportation options., as well as walking to many of the most important sites and great restaurants. There is a concierge available and Mimi is very helpful and accommodating. Her English is perfect as well as her French. (She is from the United States). All in all, we cannot wait to return. Convenient Charmer in Paris
This is a nice flat conveniently located in the 7th in Paris. The apartment is well stocked and everything worked. Owners of Paris apartments are famous for making things fit into tight spaces and this apartments split bathroom (toilet and sink located separately from shower and another sink) is a good example of that. The beds, pillows and overall layout was ver comfortable. The internet, which to us was very important, worked very well and was reliable. The location is one block from where the street market is held which was convenient. There's a car rental place Syxt about a block away if one needs a car for the day. Overall location was great and the windows are facing a quiet street, so if you're visiting you can get some sleep rather then hearing traffic and street noise. ”
Our stay at the apartment in Saxe-Breteuil, Paris 7th was beautiful both in the set up and comfort. Furnishings provided in the apartment were great and the location was incredible!”
Happy Stay in Paris
Judy and her lovely manager Mimi were terrific, welcoming and informative. We loved the place, It had everything we needed for a comfortable and happy stay in Paris. The apartment was spotless ”
Judy’s apartment was lovely and clean. It is located on a quiet street several blocks south of the Eiffel Tower. The apartment had all the amenities one could ask for and Judy was very quick to respond to any questions we had. There were all kinds of materials there with suggestions for activities—soup to nuts, which was very helpful. Judy, also, kindly offered us a complimentary week because of the extreme heat we experienced while we were there —which we declined as the weather was not her doing. The building is well insulated with thick walls and two good fans were provided which helped somewhat. Any other time, it would have been perfect. I guess global warming has hit everywhere! We would love to return another time, but maybe not during the summer months! Thank you, Judy!”
Lovely home, great location!
Host was gracious and accommodating. A wonderful Stay!”
An Absolute Dream
This property is absolutely wonderful! It is on an adorable street in Paris. It is within walking distance to so many beautiful sites and landmarks. There are various metro stops nearby, plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, literally everything you could ask for! The apartment is beautifully furnished with every pot, pan, and pillow you could want. The property manager was unbelievably sweet and was there upon our arrival and went through everything with us. The host was amazing. Absolutely fantastic. She sent a detailed pdf document that had everything you could need. She had restaurants, shopping, landmarks, activities, bars, wine bars, clubs, metro information, literally everything you could ever need. She was an amazing host and I greatly loved my time there. I hope to return one day! Imagine stepping out of an apartment to the sparkling lights of the Eiffel Tower, I don't have to imagine it because I experienced it. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.”
Great Paris location.
Our stay at the Paris Apartment was great. The location was very convenient and was walking distance to several markets, the Eiffel Tower and other scenic locations. The property managers were very nice and helpful. ”
Our family had a fantastic stay and everything was picture perfect in this wonderful Parisian property. Judy and her competent staff were so accommodating and helpful making our stay a real pleasure. Super clean and easy access to all of Paris. Eager to go back!”
I Love Paris !!!
This stunning apartment is made even more fantastic by the graciousness of the owner. We have stayed in this apartment twice before and can almost feel a part of the neighborhood. The market down the street on Thursday and Saturday has views of the Eiffel Tower and just walking around and talking to the venders and purchasing the ingredients for dinner is a wonderful experience. Pariesiens are very lovely and welcoming to Americans as long as you follow a few simple rules. Address everyone with a polite Bonjour and Au Revoir. Again I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this lovely apartment. We hope to return soon. Cecilia Kempton ”
Perfect for 2 people
property was very clean, location was excellent, very close to the iconic monuments. Perfect for a couple. The only suggestion would be to stock the refrigerator with water, cheese of some fruit at least as for most people coming from north america after a grueling 10-15 hour travel it would be nice to come to a property with something more than an empty refrigerator. Most everyone would be pleased by this property.”
Classic Paris Apartment
We had a great stay in Paris. The apartment is centrally located in an upscale neighborhood with easy Metro access. The setting was quiet, with very little street noise. Check in went smoothly, and the owner was very accommodating. We want to go back! ”
Perfect location and Amazing Host!
While planning our trip to Paris Judy, the owner of this property, was extremely kind and helpful. Offering many suggestions of places to go and the nearest markets and routes to and from the airport. Once we arrived at the flat the house manager Mimi met us at the property. She was so welcoming and helpful with all the information of the property and the surrounding area. It is in a beautiful part of town and steps from a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. My husband and I throughly enjoyed the market that they have weekly that was just down the street. The flat was absolutely beautiful and comfortable to be in, centrally located and easy to get around by taxi, the metro station close by, and by foot. We loved our stay here and would chose this location whenever we are back in Paris again. ---Helen Coquin”
perfect paris apartment
The George V, this is not. However, it is a nice renovated apartment in a lovely, quiet, safe and convenient section of Paris in an older building with a new fitted kitchen and bath and central heat but no AC. Mimi, the young lady that greeted us and ran us through the working of the unit, was pleasant and punctual and very very helpful.. The apartment was well fitted out with lots of little convenience items like coffee pods for the coffee maker, etc. New bedding and a upgraded mattress would be a an added plus. I would return if able in a heartbeat. Consider the on/off bus and boat combo pass and the museum pass bought in advance on line; we found them to be very convenient.”
Cosy apartment is great location
Judy's cosy and comfortable apartment is located in a beautiful building just a few minutes walk from many key Paris landmarks. There are several metro stations very close by but we loved being able to walk to the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, St Germain and living in a neighbourhood with great local shops and restaurants close to hand. The famous Saxe-Breteuil Market (Thursdays and Saturdays) is on the doorstep and we popped out to watch the Eiffel Tower light up at midnight on New Year's Eve. There is a great manual with lots of tips and ideas for sightseeing and eating out and Judy was extremely helpful.”
Paris is Wonderful anytime of Year.
Judy was an attentive and delightful host. She had prepared a thorough booklet of information that included everything we needed to know including some great restaurant recommendations. This one bedroom apartment is lovely and centrally located in the 7th Arrondissement near the Eiffel Tower - with easy access to anywhere you wish to be in Paris. The bedroom is in the back away from the street and quite quiet. We would be happy to go back again and again.”
Saxe-Breuteil, Paris 7 10 Rue Albert de L'Apparent
A very comfortable apartment, very clean, great appliances, plenty of hot water on a lovely quiet street on the left bank. The area is in walking distance of the Musee Rodin, Les Invalides and the Musee d'Orsay. Excellent food shopping in a fine residential neighborhood. Very small bathroom, adequate kitchen. Furnishings could be upgraded as the apartment itself is very nice but quite stark. We had a wonderful time and found everything we needed.”
The location of this house is fabulous. Close to the metros and a safe, quiet neighborhood. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen seemed to be well equipped, although we never used it. Too many close bakeries to tempt us. There also is a shop with fresh rotisseried chicken that can be taken home. We didn't notice it until too late in our week. It took us a while to learn how European flats work, but we came to appreciate this lovely hide away quickly. The restaurant suggestions were wonderful. Our only problem was that we couldn't seem to figure out how to make the tv work very well. The directions on the controls could be clearer. Sometimes we were just exhausted at night and wanted to zone out. Hardly a big deal. We would definitely recommend this flat. Small but just fine!”
We loved our romantic stay at this wonderful apartment in Paris for 2. We walked our feet off of course! The market at the end of the street was just great - we did buy too much cheese though! Some nice local restaraunts in this neighbourhood and the people were really friendly which made the trip so good. Judy, the owner was just the best and organized everything to the letter. Her directory is so comprehensive I think she should write a book on Paris - just amazing! Thank you to her for our charming stay in her little slice of Paris.”
The apartment was perfect, we had everything we needed. Perfect location with a farmers market on Saturday and Thursdays where we bought amazing foods. The owner was beyond words accommodating. We had a wonderful stay!!”
Our stay here was really charming. The home was very spacious for a one bedroom and had all our needs met. The location is very much out of reach of tourists and truly in the midst of Parisians and their life. The local markets were incredible, and the owner could not have been more informative of the best places to shop, sight see, and eat- the pastries were sublime!! ”
Our first visit to Paris was perfect and the apartment was a big part of it. Great neighborhood, 1 mile from Eiffel Tower, the market on Thursday and Saturday 1 block away is real treat, very secure residence, so many wonderful aspects to the apartment. Judy was a delight to communicate with and her Property Manager, Mimi, was welcoming and very helpful. Judy's House Manual is very detailed with many valuable suggestions. We look forward to returning. We loved it!! Michael and Maggie”
Great location for 2.
The apartment was centrally located in a wonderful neighborhood that made us feel less like tourists. The accommodations were perfect for the two of us.”
Great Location in Paris
Tucked away from busy crowds yet close to metro and all Paris has to offer, this classic apartment served as the perfect base to tour the city. Spotless and comfortable. ”
The apartment was clean and very large and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and Judy (the owner) provided a great informational package on the apartment, the sites, transportation, shopping and various amenities. It is located in a very quiet and secure part of the 7th, but very close to the metro so getting around Paris was very easy when we elected not to summon a taxi. We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and would most certainly consider staying there again. ”
Exquisite, classic Parisian
French doors and Chandeliers!! The apartment is located in in a wonderful quite neighborhood rich in history & ambiance. There are cafes, restaurants & metro within a quick walk from the apartment. The first day we arrived to the apartment, we were delighted to find an outdoor market with roasted chicken, fresh fruits, vegetables and yummy cheeses! We took our bounty back to apartment to dine & discuss our plans for our first day in Paris. Location, Location location! Visions of the Eiffel Tower as we walked a few blocks to "Le Moulin De La Vierge" for croissants and coffee every morning. We took the metro every day to experience the restaurants, museums and shopping. We thank Judy for the list of recommended restaurants ~ we indulged in several of her suggestions & are sure happy we did! My daughter and I are real foodies, We did a good job dining our way through Paris. Thank you for the wonderful memories! Valerie & Bridgette (Bob Reddy)”
Location, location, location
Charming comfortable apartment in the 7th for a couple. We ate out all meals but breakfast. Many great restaurants around and with the close metro stops we bought Navigo cards and traveled all over the city easily.”
Judy's apartment in the 7th is lovely, well-equipped, nicely laid out, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is equipped, there is a welcome washer-dryer, and she provides a nice library of Paris- and France-related books. We were met by two ladies who were substituting for the regular property manager (who was on Christmas vacation). They were friendly and helpful. Judy provided a wonderfully informative memo prior to our arrival, which was very useful in searching out the nearby market (held on Sat & Thurs) down the street, as well as nearby restaurants. One note: the 7th arr. is quiet and peaceful, although it might be too quiet for those seeking more "action" such as provided in the Marais or Saint Germain. We usually stay in the latter, but Judy's apartment allowed us to explore a different section of Paris. Highly recommended. ”
Really perfect for exploring the city of Paris,”
Very comfortable apartment in a residential quiet neighborhood. We had a fabulous stay Couldn't been any happier...I struggled with the metro system the first day but got the hang of it very quickly..The metro of Segur was really very close...very convenient , a brisk walk away from the apartment. Judy's recommendations were very helpful, several of the restaurants were fabulous. I would go again, we enjoyed it greatly. ”
There is no better way than with 3RD HOME!
Tillie and I recently returned from our two weeks in France..and what a trip it was! 6 days in Paris and we still left "a few things" to see. The beauty of the "City of Lights" deserves its reputation. From the amazing lighted Eiffel Tower only a 20 minute stroll from our very comfortable apartment to dining at the elegant and historical, Le Train Bleu…(The Blue Train)…it was all enjoyable and memorable. Judy, our member/owner, was so helpful. Her 23 pages of suggestions definitely helped us make the transition into "French life. Francois, our concierge was extremely gracious in meeting us at the apartment, giving us a good overview of our surroundings and restaurant recommendations. After about a day, we..or I should say..Tillie became quite a Metro Master! Wow..was that helpful in exploring various Parisian areas. Judy's apartment was very well located.. one block walk to view the Tower and enjoy a superb market on Thursday and Saturday. Everything from fresh seafood arranged like a decorator had placed it to beautiful silk and cashmere scarfs..which was a special attraction for Tillie. After our Paris excursions, we spent a week in the Normandy region. A true highlight, learning all about D Day, the various beaches, cemeteries etc. Well worth seeing. Too many other great things to cover here…superb breads, pastries, cheeses..and of course wines so you have to go discover them for yourself…and there's no better way than with 3rd Home!! Our Sincere Thanks, Terry and Tillie Weaver”
Lovely Paris apartment in a perfect location
We found the apartment to be in the best location we could have hoped for. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had friends join us and they were very comfortable on the fold out sofa in the living room. Judy had left very good, detailed directions for us and we were met by Francois who was perfectly charming and helpful. ”
Paris 7th, Saxe-Breteuil
From our first contact with the owner and our delight at arriving and opening the front door, the apartment was wonderful. It is well located with easy walks to many museums. The Eiffel Tower and the metro. Recommendations by the owner for restaurants , nearby markets and shopping were all very good. A week passes all too quickly. I look forward hopefully to another visit! ”
