June 2025Extraordinary location
What a beautiful and historic spot. We loved watching the sheep, the tides, Portmeirion (while watching The Prisoner on TV 😊) The house is well appointed with new bedding and towels all spotlessly clean. The compact kitchen was well equipped and the three seating areas (dining room, sitting room and office/snug) worked well for our three generations of family. Bathrooms are fine for an old property though one of the showers was temperamental. Be aware that you will have downstairs neighbours (a bit noisy in our case and liable to nab the outdoor seating) The surrounding area offers a rich variety of activities. As well as visiting Portmeirion, we canoed across the world’s highest aqueduct, for the train to the top of Mount Snowdon (you can also walk!), visited three castles and lived the local Slate Caverns museum. Some deli food available in nearby Harlech or a 15 minute drive to the big Tesco supermarket at Porthmadog. ”

June 2022Wonderful week in Wales
We had a delightful stay at this beautiful home. It was very relaxing. The views over the estuary are magical. It can be a bit hard to find and the narrow roads are intimidating but the trip is worth it.”
