We had never been to Quebec, so having the opportunity to stay on this charming island right on the river, with views of magnificent water falls and the city, was a bonus. It’s a very easy 15 minute drive into the city, and given that we were there during the quietest time of year, parking was never a problem. It’s worth taking a half-day to just enjoy the tiny villages on the island. Though most everything was closed for the season, it was still fun to explore. We took long walks everyday all through Ste Petronille, but you can certainly get your daily exercise on the fully-equipped home gym. Unfortunately, the swimming pool had already been drained for the winter and the spa wasn’t working, so we couldn’t take full advantage of all the amenities, but the sauna worked great. Eric was a very responsive, friendly and gracious host. The caretaker of the property checked on us almost daily, and was an absolute delight. Being there off-season, without crowds and traffic, allowed us to have very leisurely days, enjoying a fabulous property in a beautiful setting. Thank you, Eric! ”
Our stay was a great experience. Wonderfull scenic view on the St-Laurence river, Montmorency Falls and Quebec city. The house is elegant, comfortable and cosy. ”
