This historic Italian estate (which is only 15 minute from Florence) is situated on 10000 square feet surrounded by the stunning, rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside. Dating to the 1200s and originally the home of Accursio de Bagnolo, the present villa was built in 1874 by famed architect Leopoldo Pasqui. The estate has been lovingly restored with modern amenities, yet retains its stunning period pieces and antiques.
Each room of this fabulous villa is bright and spacious, featuring exquisite interiors and flooring throughout. Furnished with gorgeous antiques, the décor and style of the home are reminiscent of how it must have looked back when it was first constructed. The main entrance on the first floor contains the “pietra serena” stone staircase and two gorgeous living rooms. Terracotta and parquet floors can be found in these living rooms, one with a charming fireplace and one with a small grand piano.
The two living rooms, dining room, and wine bar all have large doors that allow easy access to the garden, creating a wonderful spot for entertaining. The kitchen is incredibly gourmet, fit for a master chef! For an additional fee, this villa’s chef will prepare delicious meals for you from the garden, including fresh eggs from the chickens, pheasant, and quail. The extensive grounds include a large patio for alfresco dining, so you can gaze out over vineyards and olive groves while you dine.
Most of the bedrooms can be found on the second and third floors of this gorgeous estate. The master features a king-sized bed with a full-sized private bath. On the second floor, you’ll find four more rooms, one with a queen-sized bed, one with two full-sized beds, and the last two with king beds that can be converted to twin beds if necessary. On the third floor, there’s one room with a queen-sized bed and two rooms with kings that can be converted into twins. Each room has a private and spacious bathroom, with enormous showers and separate soaking tubs.
The extensive grounds of this marvelous estate are filled with rolling olive groves and picturesque vineyards, creating a true Tuscan paradise. The vast nature of the grounds ensures privacy and plentiful options for rest and relaxation. After a winery tour, bask in the sunshine or slip into the waters of the refreshing infinity pool. If you’re looking for a bit of activity, this property offers gym equipment and provides private access to a sports court with tennis, soccer, and basketball. For indoor entertainment, take advantage of the billiards or ping pong table.
