Everyone from the concierge to the shuttle drivers made you feel like a VIP. The experience at Riviera Maya left me and my guests with a wonderful memory we will never forget.”

Grand Luxxe Loft was top class

My family and I had a great stay. The 2 bed loft was just beautiful, well appointed and the balcony was a great place to relax after a day at the pools. The beach club and Grand Luxxe pools were the smartest. The sea is not really useable due to the rocks at the entry to the sea, but nonetheless was beautiful look at, I t didn’t really matter as the pools were great. Last but by no means least the Concierge’s in building 4 were amaze and arranged transport for us wherever and whenever we needed to go somewhere. Thanks for a lovely stay.”

Luxxe !!

GORGEOUS! The Grand Luxxe Residences are out of this world ! You could just stay in the unit and luxuriate in its finery (and at 5,000 sq ft that's a lot of space to luxuriate in !!) But then you would miss the Luxxe pool and beach club, where the cool vibes continue! The staff is beyond gracious and the whole experience is pure luxury. Many Problems

Well... If you like Disney... Standing in lines, to stand in more lines...then this is your place! Plan to wait a lot to get a ride anywhere. The property is HUGE so you must allow a lot of time to wait for transportation and get anywhere. I was told we did not need to make reservations in advance at restaurants...but au contraire! We could not get into any restaurant the 1st night there...and finally got into the Italian option. The food is excellent in all of the restaurants...a positive. We caught on quick and made reservations for the rest of our stay. The Cirque du Soleil show was spectacular! Get ready to be up-sold on everything. Even though Wi-Fi was included... it did not work at all. We had to pay for the premium Wi-Fi in order to get spotty coverage. The Concierge service reminded me of the Saturday Night Live skit where they look down typing for a long time and then act like you aren't there. We did have one person who was over and beyond at the Residences, Jen Luc! Thankfully he tried to help as much as possible.. We were not able to rent any movies in the rooms as they have limited service, most TV was in Spanish so the teens were pretty bored at night after dinner. We had our 3 teenage boys with us who wanted to work out in the gym, but they would not allow then for the first 3 days as they are under 18. After much pushing, they were able to go with us present, ONLY after 12, noon with a letter that we had to have our coach send. Hmmmm... they can drive cars, work jobs and 2 can join the military...but they can't work out at a "luxury" resort? CostaMed is the 3rd party medical company who does the COVID testing on site. They have the worst protocol I have ever seen. We were herded in line with 2 other families into a small hotel room. They collected our passports and piled them with all the others - touching each other. We had to fill out paperwork with dirty pens and hang out in close quarters until it was our turn...We felt if we were in any way going to contract COVID... it would be here, in this small room wrought with cross-contamination! The attendant shoved my swab so far and hard up my nose that I had a big nose bleed. We went about our day expecting to have our last 48 hours in the sun. We ate lunch...and then went back to change for the beach. We got our emails with what we expected to be Negative results...but NOOOO... 1 of them was positive. We knew it was incorrect as we all got tested prior to leaving and are all vaccinated and tested regularly for sports and work. We called the Concierge to inquire about a re-test and were informed that we would have to stay in our room until our departure. After calling for hours, someone came to the room to give a new test. We opted to get and pay for both a rapid and PCR test. We were told we would have the rapid back in 4 hours. Well 4 hours turned to almost 36 hours. Our last 2 days were spent in the room - where the WiFi stunk and Movies were not an option. Soooo... again, thank God for decent food! I had plenty of time to read Yelp reviews about the resort online during our quarantine...And found that our stay sounded much better than many other's recent stays. I spent the last 24 hours trying to get the results back... to no avail. It all felt very scammy and we had a different dishonest answer every time we spoke with someone. We finally made a plan to check out at our normal time and my husband would go back to the US with 2 of the US and I would stay at the Ritz with the COVID patient. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. On the way back into Cancun we received the results... NEGATIVE!! Both the PCR and Rapid... We happily boarded the plane and came home! Bottom line... After fighting for everything... Rides, Service, Gym Access, Wi-Fi Access, and lastly our Freedom... We were EXHAUSTED!! It was the worst vacation we have been on and could not recommend this place to anyone!! THANK GOD”

NIce, but quite complicated

While the unit at Grand Luxxe Residences and the setting of the Vidanta were very beautiful and well appointed, the self-contained resort format did not lend itself well to the luxury experience which was promoted. Moving about within the large area between various locations proved cumbersome and quite often involved waiting in line for golf-cart transfers. The food and beverage options were plentiful but were lacking high-touch execution, even though the service team at the resort tried their very best and were extremely kind. Guests are exclusively confined to the resort for all dining and activities, so the charges added up rapidly at American rates. It turned out to be an "OK" experience, but would not return.”

Superb Accommodations and Stellar Service!

The Residence Club loft exceeded expectations! Who knew opening blinds could be so much fun!! The concierge in our building went above and beyond to make our stay special! The grounds were beautiful, but the Beach Club and Salum were our favorite spots by far. We enjoyed taking a few day trips to Cozumel and Isla Mujeres and using the taxi station, shuttle service or resort transfers to get off site was very easy and convenient. We will definitely be returning with the whole family!”

Fabulous room, fabulous staff, fabulous food!

The grand luxe was fabulous!! Can’t express how nice this resort is & how clean too! If you are into design you will love this style of home. The terrace is absolutely stunning and is the perfect place to start your day with coffee. We had a full kitchen and laundry area which was great. There is a nespresso machine so bring your pods. We brought a French press with us and also coffee but we wouldn’t have if we had known nespresso was available. They also have pods for purchase in the room. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are great. Bath products are lovely. No conditioner for the ladies it’s an all in one shampoo, which I don’t prefer. The food was amazing at each restaurant, truly. Loved the beach club, it’s like Miami with a killer DJ. Lots of drink specials and happy hours. Jade was deliciousness for sushi and we also loved Nectar. I’m definitely going back to this resort and would get the 3-4 bedroom and bring more friends! I sat for the sales presentation, which was interesting. I would actually buy into this resort if they gave you any level of time to think about the decision. Really really terrific overall and also the staff was amazing. Carlos our concierge in building 4, Monica the cart driver, and Orlando at the beach club were particular standouts, but everyone was terrific. Also sooo clean!! The highest level of clean I’ve experienced in a long time at any resort!! ”

Christmas Vacation

Our stay for Christmas week in the Grand Luxxe Residence loft was nothing short of amazing. The luxurious accommodations were beautifully appointed and extremely well maintained. I can’t say enough regarding the staff that made our stay effortless and enjoyable. From the concierges in every building, to housekeeping and the restaurant staff, everyone was on point and extremely pleasant and helpful. We are already looking forward to a return visit.”
