Exquisite home in the heart of nature
Our family of four had an amazing time at Casa Big Sur. The house has an exquisite view, gorgeous pool and perfectly appointed interior. It is well suited for entertaining large or small groups. Plenty of nooks to lounge inside and outside. The owners have thought of every design detail. We loved waking up to the sounds of the rain forest around us, the toucans perched in the trees and the sky at sunset. The location was also perfect for all we wanted to do – zip line, ATV tour, horse back riding to Nauyaca Falla, boat to Corcovado, visit to Manuel Antonio Park and Marino Balleno National Park. We really enjoyed the restaurants in the area - the best were in Ojochal, Uvita and Dominical. However our favorite dinner was in the house with the private chef. We felt very safe as the staff were always there when we came and left the property. It was hard to leave such a perfect piece of paradise. ”
The extraordinary Casa Big Sur
My family and I recently stayed a week at the magnificent Casa Big Sur house. We had been looking forward to spending time in the house and in the Dominical area for months. Neither disappointed. Tony and Colleen, the owners of Casa Big Sur, were excellent in answering our questions and making sure all of the arrangements were perfect. In fact, they arranged for a local private chef, Chef Roger, to prepare and serve am excellent five-course meal that was unforgettable. Among the best part of our stay was the infinity pool, of course, and its’ stunning view; the grounds with the mix of colorful plants and the down-hill gazebo; and of course Bar Jolly Roger which is 100 yards walking distance for the best chicken wings, burgers, beer and live music around. The street that leads up to the house is quite a challenge and a throwback to the way roads were generally in Costa Rica. For the mile distance, it is a bumpy rock-and-roll ride. But, once you arrive a the house gate, you know that it is more than worth the ride to spend a luxurious time at Case Big Sur. In all of our travels, we have not experienced a higher quality of accommodation and fun. We highly recommend it! Tom and Nancyanna ”
