Whooping Crane Lane
Whooping Crane Lane
This stunning home sits within a beautifully landscaped gated community near Goose Island State Park and right by the bay. You will feel surrounded by nature, yet close to all the fun activities Rockport has to offer.
As you enter the property, you will love how the vaulted ceilings and recessed lighting create a bright and airy space in the living room. Kick back on the couch in the living room and enjoy a movie on the 50” flat-screen TV, or curl up with a book in a comfy armchair. Take in the view of St. Charles Bay through glass doors that open to the private patio.
From there, you'll make your way into the kitchen with a full suite of stainless steel appliances, including a Bertazzoni gas stove. The open kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare tasty home-cooked meals. A freestanding ice maker ensures that you’ll always have plenty of ice on hand. The center island has bar seating for three. When it’s time to eat, gather around the wooden dining table with seating for six.
This home sleeps up to twelve guests between three bedrooms and three sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds in the loft. The ensuite master bedroom is furnished with a plush king bed and a 50” TV. Wake up to a private view of the water and walk onto the patio through the glass door. The master bathroom is fitted with double vanity, walk-in shower, and a separate water closet.
The second bedroom also has a king bed and 50” TV, while the third bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and 42” TV. The loft area has three twin-over-twin bunk beds and a 32” TV. The second bathroom has a double vanity and a tub/shower combination. Plenty of room and privacy for everyone!
Step out from the living area to enjoy your private back patio, furnished with a couch and three chairs. Watch schools of redfish in the wetlands and in the winter months, you will likely see the endangered Whooping Cranes searching the water for their dinner. Sit around the fire pit and take in the sweeping view of the water. A set of steps lead to the community boardwalk with over 2 miles of waterfront for your morning or evening stroll.
The fenced front yard is an ideal spot to soak up the sun. Make use of the gas grill and enjoy an afternoon cookout. At night, feel the warm glow of the fire pit while watching the stars. You can also walk just 400 feet to the sparkling community pool, complete with plenty of lounge seating. The pool is unheated and open year-round.
For the days on the lake, launch the provided kayaks from the shared dock and explore the open waters. Bring your boat or rent one and dock it in your private boat slip at the dock. You will be less than a mile from Goose Island National Park and the 1000-year-old Big Tree is 1.5 miles north. And Rockport Beach is a short drive away. There is plenty to do at Whooping Crane Lane for the whole family!

Great Place to Stay!
We just concluded our trip to this amazing property! Pics and description were all accurate. House fully stocked on whatever essential items you might have forgotten. Even includes a snow cone maker with all the flavors which was an added bonus for our littles. We loved the close proximity to the pool as well as the walk down the boardwalk to the fishing pier. Everyone talked about how comfortable the house was and the beds. Very well suited for our families. Will be watching for future weeks to return back! ”
