Description

Luxury 50’ Catamaran Sailing - British Virgin Islands

Prepare for luxury and to make incredible memories that are sure to last a lifetime sailing on this one-year new Leopard 50' catamaran, docked in the Virgin Islands. You will find easy taxi service from the Beef island International Airport on the island of Tortola, British Virgin Islands, to the dock where your yacht and crew await. At the dock, you are met by your dedicated professional Captain and First Mate/Chef who will be with you the entire week and board the Leopard 50 Catamaran. This incredible 4 guest cabin, eight guest vessel offers everything you will need to enjoy a week of island sailing.

You will have every comfort while sailing and motoring through the protected waters of the Virgin Islands. Enjoy great hospitality provided by your own Captain and First Mate.

The week’s voyage includes at least three onboard created meals a day - sometimes more. Dining ashore is available at many anchorages as an extra. All standard beverages, cocktails, and locally available wine are included when dining on board.

There are 4 guest suites. A master cabin and three queen cabins each with private baths and showers. Daily cabin service is provided by the crew for your comfort.

The yacht is air-conditioned with individual controls in each cabin.

There are many flexible side trips to take on the islands when you want a time ashore. Every stop is different. Move every day or spend a few days at your favorite location. The week onboard includes numerous day and overnight anchorages. The famous Virgin Island turquoise waters, waterfront dining, bars, swimming, snorkeling, and water sports are to be had every day of the trip.

The Leopard 50 Catamaran was constructed for safety for sailors or for non-sailors alike. The yacht’s stability allows for a comfortable under sail or motoring experience with onboard comfort, interior design, and modern elegance in mind. The exterior is simple, yet performance efficient, designed for class, comfort, and ease on the water.

The yacht provides a large aft space for comfort and a great spot for entertaining with plenty of space to relax. Both the aft and forward shaded cockpits provide protection from sun and wind with clean white wrap-around seating, dining, and open space. The upper deck offers 360-degree views, lounging areas, sound system. Perfect in the mornings for coffee or a drink in the evening.

The electric swim platform offers guests a larger sunning space or a platform for easy access to the water. The front cockpit offers comfortable sunbeds for lounging under sail or at anchor.

SPECIAL NOTE: Due to Covid the BVIs are very sensitive concerning the possible introduction of infection. The regulations are a bit of a moving target changing periodically. Every reasonable effort will be made to assure you that your week is in the BVIs. Recently some boats have been moved to the American Virgin Islands where entry conditions are less restrictive. It is possible that your yacht may be assigned to the American area where you will have an equally lovely time. If this unusual event occurs you will fly into St. Thomas, the main American Virgin Island destination. The two areas are only 1/2 mile apart at the closest point but operate under different rules related to international travelers. It is imperative that you contact the owners of this yacht to assure the smoothest possible trip to and from the islands.

If you have any questions in advance of selecting this great vacation, feel free to contact the Member Experience team to inquire directly to the owner on your behalf: memberexperience@thirdhome.com

Provisioning and Other Fees

Upon booking confirmation, there is an $80 per person per day fee due for food, beverage, captain, crew, dockage and fuel charges.

Food and beverage overages for non-standard requirements will be charged to guests at end of week (We have never been charged this extra as we have found the food to be of excellent quality and quantity and available wines and spirits to be more than satisfactory).

Most specialty diets can be accommodated with advance notice to the crew. They are very careful about food and drink preferences and will go out of their way to see that you are accommodated within reason.

In addition to the above, the following fees are also payable at the time of booking confirmation:
Charter Company Turn Around Fee - $710.00
BVI National Park Fee - $25.00
BVI Government Cruising Tax - $6.00 per day/per person

The charges and governmental fees are subject to change and will be confirmed at the time of booking confirmation.

Gratuities for the crew are the normal practice in the islands and expected as they constitute a large portion of the crew’s income and as an incentive for a high-quality service level. The charter industry suggested amount is 15-20% of the $28,000 per week retail price of the trip paid to the crew as you depart at the end of your trip. This would be between $4,200 and $5,600 for the week. We split this up between ourselves and our guests on a cabin basis. It is money well spent. Cash is preferred but payment by check to the crew on departure is certainly acceptable.

Outstanding in every way.

This was probably our best Third Home adventure to date. We were very fortunate to get an outstanding crew and a new boat and although we understand this is not necessarily the case, we would still recommend a trip of this sort. The British Virgin Islands are a beautiful part of the world. ”
