NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:

Near the site of the original colony, Jamestown Settlement tells the story of 17th-century Virginia, from the arrival of English colonists in Jamestown in 1607 to the cultural encounters and events that planted the seeds of a new nation. The world of Jamestown, America's first permanent English colony, comes to life through film, gallery exhibits, and outdoor living history.

Expansive gallery exhibits and an introductory film describe the cultures of the Powhatan Indians, Europeans, and west-central Africans who converged in 17th-century Virginia and trace Jamestown's beginnings in England and the first century of the Virginia colony. Discover refreshed gallery exhibits, incorporating new historical research and technology, including immersive displays, films, and a new "Bacon's Rebellion" experiential theater.

In the outdoor areas – open daily 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – costumed historical interpreters describe and demonstrate daily life in early 17th-century Jamestown. Climb aboard a re-creation of one of the three ships that sailed from England to Virginia in 1607. Explore life-size re-creations of the colonists' fort and a Powhatan Indian village. In the outdoor areas, costumed historical interpreters describe and demonstrate daily life in early 17th-century Jamestown.

You're invited to discover the people who bring history to life at Colonial Williamsburg.

Your admission ticket is your key to historic sites, where costumed interpreters will welcome you to the largest living history museum in the world. Meet a Nation Builder like George Washington or Edith Cumbo and admire the craftsmanship of some of the best artisans in the world. Connect with your family over a horse-drawn carriage ride, world-class dining, and a Haunted Williamsburg ghost tour. At the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg, explore everything from colorful and whimsical folk art made by amateur artisans to decorative art objects that are useful as well as beautiful. Spacious with good amenities but second or third rate quality

My party of 2 adults and 4 children stayed in a double unit for a total of 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 2 living rooms. One of the units had a mini kitchenette and the other unit had a fully equipped kitchen. The units were split between a downstairs and upstairs villa. This is a timeshare that is definitely second-rate compared to a Marriott timeshare or a Westin or Hyatt timeshare villa. The grounds are nicely maintained with a wonderful sports court, where we played tennis and pickleball every night. The activities were sparse or for a small fee, like build your own stuffed animal. The rooms had old TVs without streaming capabilities but had an old DVD player that can be used for renting free DVDs from the lobby. The staff was very helpful and accommodating with giving us more paper towels, soaps/shampoos, etc. The overall villa we were placed in was 2-star at best. The entire villa was damp and moldy with broken kitchen drawers, and a mildew odor. However, it was fairly clean, despite lots of stains on the furniture and bedspreads. The 2nd floor unit was a little better kept, but there was a nest of squirrels in the eaves of the roof that woke us up at night as they scurried across the roof floor. When we reported it to the facility manager they said they were aware and there is nothing they could do to remove the squirrels. Overall the villa worked for our purposes, which was finding a place for two families to stay in for five nights for when the teens were at Busch Gardens camp. If this continues to be a ThirdHome property, it should be at a highly reduced key amount (2 keys max for 5 nights, not 5 keys for 5 nights). The villa timeshare owner, Alan, was a wonderful communicator and checked in prior to arrival with check-in details. We thank him for letting us stay! ”

A bit outdated

The pictures look lovely, however the first unit we were put in was very outdated and smelled of mold. They moved us to another unit which was still outdated but didn't smell. Great location.”
