New England Jewel!!!
Our family of five had the most amazing time at this gorgeous home in Swampscott. We were all very comfortable in our bedrooms. The master bedroom and master bathroom suites were a treat. Plenty of space and luxury for a week of relaxation. The kitchen was fully equipped and the dining room was stunning. The best part of this house was the owner's generosity and attention to every detail of our stay. She reached out to me the minute that we booked the house. She gave us great recommendations for dinner and to explore the area. She accommodated changing the dates of our stay. It was truly a perfect 5 stars Thirdhome experience. The coastline is gorgeous. The location was perfect to explore neighboring coastal town. The food was superb. There is a Whole's Food 5 minute drive from the house and a terrific restaurant within a 5 minute walk. I hope we can go back to visit this beautiful historic house. Thank you for sharing it with my family.”
An Extraordinarily Stunning Home
We stayed in Swampscott for the Memorial Day Holiday. It says a great deal about this home that it rained five days out of seven and yet we had a wonderful time. The house is very welcoming and there are so many places to spend time. Our favorite was the covered porch in front of the house. The house has four gas fireplaces that we used and they are in very welcoming locations throughout the house. We especially loved the one in the kitchen, a natural gathering place. You can see the water and the beautiful grounds of the central commons from the front porch. The grounds were designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, who was the father of American landscaper architecture, including his design of Central Park and Prospect Park in Nee York. The owner, Alice, was always available for any questions and gave us great suggestions. We hope to return to this very special place. Cecilia Kempton and Don Anderson ”
