Built in the late 1940’s, this former tailer shop was recently restructured and transformed into a charming and cosy holiday home. Nowadays, with most of its original structure, old wooden walls, cosy tile stove and its inviting interior, this Alpine Chalet is far more than a holiday residence for 10 guests – it is a house with history. Enter this charming property made of natural stones through its original door, and step into the huge fully equipped kitchen, whose rear part is taken up by a large, wooden table and chairs. With exposed timber beams, ancient stone walls, and wood panelling, the Historical Alpine Chalet offers that quintessential alpine charm that everyone has come to associate with a luxury mountain holiday in Austria.

On the first floor, guests will be ale to find the large living room ; the heart of the house is characterized by a beautiful coffered ceiling and the old tiled stove with covered stove bench was a new white fir floor, to keep guests warm and cozy throughout their stay. This spacious Alpine Chalet impresses with its contrasting architecture: between tradition and modernity, and invites the guests to linger.

Distributed over 3 floors of the property, all of the 5 bedrooms in this Alpine Chalet are ensuite with King Size beds and come along with 2 bathrooms. There is one double bedroom on the ground floor with a shower room including a washing machine, other 2 double bedrooms on the first floor, and the last 2 double bedrooms on the second floor with the adjoining bathroom featuring a bathtub. Waking up with a view to the beautiful mountains is priceless, and the Chalet and its surroundings stimulate your mind and help to focus on the whole picture.

When visiting this charming Alpine Chalet, it won’t take long until you know where to find the next butcher shop, the best cheese or the place with the most breathtaking sunset view. Gentle slopes and undulating hillsides testify to the transformations that have taken place in the alpine landscape since the Ice Age, when the glacier here extended from the heights of the Arlberg all the way to Lake Constance. Water gushes down from the slopes into little streams and ravines, into waterfalls and gullies.

Visually, the villages are dominated by the sedate, shingled farmhouses which typify the Bregenzerwald. These single buildings characteristically have the dwelling, stable and barn all under one roof. The church tower is still the focal point of attention in each village and the church interiors are reminiscent of the Baroque tradition which spread to Switzerland, Germany and even to France through the work of the great master builder families such as the Beers, Moosbruggers and Thumbs in the course of the 17th century.
