Description

McKenzie River Paradise

Come back to nature and enjoy our enchanting two acres on the McKenzie River! Located 45 miles east of Eugene, Oregon, in a gated community, this three-bedroom abode lies tucked in a lush forest of Douglas fir evergreens and mature maples. Enjoy fly fishing at one of the best fishing spots on the river and take a white water rafting or drift boat fishing adventure with one of our local guides. This home is an obvious choice for the outdoor-minded!

You and your guests will happily arrive at this 2200 square foot ranch-style home and will be greeted by a lofty living room upon entering. You’ll love the gorgeous stonework surrounding the gas fireplace, beautifully complementing the rustic finishes throughout the room like the exposed beamed ceilings. And an expansive sectional welcomes everyone to sit for a movie on the flatscreen TV. In the chef’s kitchen, you’ll find plenty of counter space to prepare meals and a dining table that seats four.

The spacious bedrooms provide comfortable sleeping arrangements for all, offering a king and queen bed. A third room is available as an office space or bonus bedroom with a portable queen bed. There are two stately bathrooms when you need to get ready for the day or rinse off after a day of hiking and adventures.

The back deck holds chairs and a dining table that allows you to take in the great outdoors while you enjoy your morning coffee or serve burgers fresh off the grill. Just a few steps away is the hot tub that offers a rejuvenating respite and river views. At night, head down towards the river for a bonfire under the stars.

Hiking trails are abundant throughout the valley. Enjoy a round of golf—located ten minutes east—or shopping at a gourmet organic farm just ten minutes west. Take your kayak, raft, or paddleboard to nearby Leaburg or Cougar Reservoir and then enjoy a peaceful picnic. If there’s one thing you don’t want to miss while you’re here, it’s the Goodpasture Bridge. It’s the state’s second-longest covered bridge, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, and is the gateway to the McKenzie River Trail.
