Reelin-It-In — Jamaica Beach

Jamaica Beach—it’s not an island in the Caribbean Sea, but it’s the next best thing! You can find this wonderful coastal city situated off the southeast coast on Galveston Island, Texas, just 90 minutes from Houston. Born as a weekend fishing destination in the mid-50s, Jamaica Beach has since been incorporated into a flourishing city exuding small-town nirvana. The city’s pièce de résistance is the beach itself, where wide stretches of soft sand meet the Gulf of Mexico’s warm waters.

Located on a canal in Jamaica Beach, this 2475 square foot home is not only ideal for the angler but perfect for the whole family! Reelin-It-In offers the perfect mix of indoor/outdoor entertaining with great views of the bay. Step inside to a sweeping living room filled with creature comforts, like a soft leather sectional and a large flatscreen TV. It shares the space with a beautiful farmhouse-style dining table, and a breakfast bar cut out. As you head into the eat-in kitchen, you’ll find even more seating options, between a sunny breakfast nook to a peninsula with bar stools. The best seat in the house, however, is on the balcony overlooking the bay.

There are two bedrooms located on the main floor. One has a queen-sized bed with a view of the bay. The second has a street view and has two queen-sized beds inside. On the opposite end of the house is a staircase that leads up to the main bedroom with a king-sized bed and a spacious bathroom. It also has its own private balcony! Off to the other side of the kitchen, you will find a second staircase leading downstairs to an expansive room with two queen bunk beds and a small living area and bathroom.

Enjoy hours of fun in the private pool or fishing from the dock. Lucky for you, the beach is only a short drive away! For a day of family fun, take a quick 20-minute drive to Moody Gardens, where you can explore the rainforest and aquarium pyramids, 3D and 4D theaters, and a discovery museum.
