Welcome to The Heron House–a coastal oasis with ocean views, an abundance of nature, and lush walking trails minutes from the front door. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom getaway is ideal for those seeking a week of peace and comfort.

Upon entering this fabulous abode, continue up the stairs to the great room where the spotless and modern kitchen awaits. The large counter, bar stools, wine chiller, and well-stocked cabinets make for fun group cooking. Top-notch appliances include a slow cooker, food processor, toaster, microwave, blender, hand blender, Nespresso machine, 8-cup coffee maker, coffee grinder, tea kettle, and coffee press. Start your morning curled up on the south deck with an espresso or mug of hot cocoa.

The living room features comfy leather seating, ocean views, and a Sonos player to keep your favorite tunes dancing in the background. Catch a glimpse out the living room or kitchen windows for the great blue heron who regularly visits the grounds and the golf course. A dining table for six near a remote-controlled gas fireplace gives extra warmth and ambiance. Off the dining area is an elevated deck with a double chaise, Adirondack chair, and ocean views.

Each ground-level bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed, organic bedding, and TV. The primary bedroom's sitting area is filled with afternoon light, ideal for reading or reflection. Access either the south ground-level deck or the secure courtyard and cedar hot tub from this bedroom. The sleek, modern bathrooms have double vanities and walk-in tiled showers with pull-down teak benches. The media room includes a pull-out sofa with a queen-sized bed for additional sleeping options (best for children or shorter adults).

With three decks with ocean views, a hot tub, and a gas-fired BBQ grill, the house is only a three-mile drive to Gualala shops and grocery stores. Bring your binoculars for excellent birding along the trails and Gualala River. Heron House is a refreshing refuge to get away from it all. When you're ready to explore the local community, check out the Gualala Arts Center for information about the Sonoma-Mendocino Coast Whale & Jazz Festival in April, live music events, a Mother's Day concert in May, and the Annual Fine Arts Fair.

The beach at Gualala Regional Park is just a 15-minute walk from the front door, and the entrance to the bluff trail is a brisk five minutes away. Bring your walking shoes and breathe in the fresh ocean air at this quiet coastal getaway with fifty miles of walking trails.

About The Sea Ranch

The Sea Ranch is a unique community association of private homes, sited with careful attention to the natural landscape along a 10-mile stretch of the Sonoma County coast in Northern California. It is internationally known for its distinctive architecture, the sensitivity of its land planning, and community-based stewardship of the natural environment. The Sea Ranch features over fifty miles of hiking trails, some newly opened, including six public access points to the beach, the historic Sea Ranch chapel, stables, a dog park, and a community garden. Although the 18-hole golf course is not part of the Sea Ranch, it is open to all and easily reached from the Heron House. Your guest pass will allow you access to three recreation centers with outdoor heated pools, locker rooms, saunas, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center). The Heron House is two miles north of Del Mar Center.
