This magnificent, Alpine-style chalet is in the heart of Japan’s Niseko ski region. Situated in the tranquil village of Annupuri, one of four linked resorts, and just a few minutes’ transfers from the Annupuri gondola. There are several excellent restaurants, cafés, and bars just a short walk away from this luxury home in Niseko.

Kitsutsuki (the name means woodpecker in Japanese) is a Japanese take on the Alpine chalet style, with a cleaner, sharper aesthetic. The double-height main living area is vast, its sloping wood ceilings and uncluttered styling make it appear even more spacious!

The enormous windows which frame the magical, snowy landscape, dotted with hauntingly beautiful Japanese white birch trees, though, provide the real wow factor to this chalet in Niseko.

Kitsutsuki is an excellent base for exploring all that this popular ski region has to offer. The wide, open, gentle slopes above Annupuri make it especially well suited to beginners and families with young children. Green runs have comforting names like 'Junior', 'Family' and 'Paradise'. Annupuri has its own ski school or you can organize lessons through your concierge. There's plenty for experts and powder hounds too - in fact, this area offers some of the best snow in the world!

Within just a few minutes from this chalet in Niseko are some of the best restaurants in the region, including the best sushi and the best soba noodles!
