September 2026Sailing with Tradewinds
Our trip on the catamaran was good but not great. The boat was showing its age. The dingy had to be pulled because the hoist was broken. Our room smelled of sewage. Our shower head broke away from its holder so we had to do hand held showers. The captain was moody and at times rude. We barely sailed. Not sure why. The onboard chef and meals were great. The chef “Donne” did a good job in the kitchen but was also incredibly nice, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire trip. We felt like we barely had time to see the islands and because we went off season most of Saint Barts was closed down. We arrived back at the port at 2:30 the day before our trip ended. We wished we had spent more of our second to last day exploring instead of sitting at the hot port. Lastly the sales pitch was strong. We said “ no thank you” and they kept coming back with more offers. We did not like the hard sell on our trip. Beware!!”
