TRIP OF A LIFETIME!

I have chartered mega yachts, but this catamaran was perfectly comfortable for our 5 couples. The captain and chef were great, and the anchorages spectacular. Only negative was that it’s a “time share club” so they do a very hard sell three times to sign you up. On the flip side of that, 2 of our couples joined the club and have really been enjoying the benefits. GREAT VALUE!”

Trip of a lifetime

Amazing. After reading previous reviews our expectations were quite high and all were definitely met. This was our first cruise of this type outside of traditional cruising so I must admit a bit nervous about sea conditions, size of living spaces, etc., however once boarding and getting comfortable I don't ever see the reason to go on a traditional cruise ever again. About our Crew, Sam and Zina. Simply amazing at their duties of Captain and First mate. We felt guilty at times that they were working so hard however they really do want you to relax and enjoy. It was nice to see them get comfortable with us as well as the week progressed and do fun stuff with us as well. We would definitely sail with TradeWinds again especially now that we are comfortable with the process and perhaps customize the experience even more.. ”

Tradewinds, Sam (the captain,) and Zina were great

This was the trip of a lifetime. Living on a boat can be a challenge but that is hardly the case with Tradewinds. The yacht was impeccable and spacious. Sam the captian and Zina the chef did an excellent job. We were two families with all 5 cabins on a cruising class catamaran. There were 4 adults and 5 kids aged 7 to 14 with plenty of room for all. The boat has a large seating area on the bow, a large area above the salon under the boom, and the covered back deck and large enclosed salon. Everyone on the boat could comfortably sit together in any of these three areas. The food and service was outstanding, there is incredible attention to detail. As a lifelong sailor it will be very hard to go back to bareboating, we have been spoiled. As an example the generator quit one day but Sam had the water pump impeller replaced and up and running again in no time. The next day it shut down again. He took it all apart but the impeller was fine, just a sensor error. Just to be safe he replaced the impeller again. Who carries 2 spares for a 1 week trip? We had no further issues and we hardly noticed anything had happened. The trip took us to many secluded, beautiful places as well as a great berth right on the main drag in St. Bart's. We caught several fish off the back and did a great dive. If you get a chance to sail with Tradewinds, do not hesitate. Loved it.”

This had to be one of the best trips we have taken. Everything about it was great from the islands we went to and the quality of the Catamaran and Crew. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a trip of a Lifetime. We loved it so much we joined Tradewinds.”

Our tradewinds experience was the trip of a lifetime! We departed from St Maarteen and spent time in Anguilla and St Bart's. The French manufactured catamaran was brand new and had new kayaks and paddle boards. I chartered the entire boat with 5 luxurious cabins. Our captain and first mate Sam and Hannah were the best part of the trip. Their quick witted humor and zest for life will never be forgotten. Hannah prepared 5-star gourmet meals that would rival Emeril Lagasse. Sam would prepare cocktails that we would enjoy every afternoon while taking in an unmatched sunset. While in Anguilla we spent time with Bankie Banx at his Dune preserve. Bankie is the Eastern Caribbeans pioneer of reggae music. Any trip to Anguilla isn't complete without a trip to the Dune Preserve. This is the only beach bar in the world where you are likely to run into a former president, a former pirate and a former Wall Street big wig in the same day. While in St Bart's one should enjoy the fine shopping in the quaint port city of Gustavia. In St Bart's there are numerous world class restaurants to suit anyones palate. The Tradewinds experience is must for any seasoned traveller. I've travelled the Caribbean for the last 35 plus years I can truly say this ranks at the top of the lists of my favorite trips!
