A Comfortable Retreat

Coming into a different country and into someone's home, we appreciated the wonderful welcome that our host, Roberta's friend and neighbor provided. She was amazing, giving us ideas of where to eat and shop locally. The apartment was comfortable for us as a couple and we enjoyed the luxury of the two baths. We were initially a bit surprised as we were in a residential neighborhood, though it was only a 20 minute walk to the center of Rome, and given the chaos of the crowds, we were ultimately grateful for the relative quiet. Roberta was always responsive when needed, and we are grateful to her for helping us ease into a new environment. ”

Rome apartment

The apartment was very clean and had all the necessities. The owner was excellent in responding to questions and offered much valuable information about restaurants, seeing the sites, and getting around. Location on tram and bus lines was good, but taxi's often needed due to the incomplete public transportation available in Rome. The rooftop patio was nice. One of the single bedrooms had a crib, great for a family with a child that age, but it took up space for my 18 y/o daughter. It was great to be so close to the center of all the wonderful history that Rome offers!”

Lovely apartment in a non touristy neighborhood

The apartment is located on the 5th floor of a nice, clean and secure building. It has a quiet working lift. The apartment has a kitchen, living room and huge balcony. One bedroom has a single bed with a single trundle. One has a European king. The third bedroom is small with a crib and a chair that can pullout to a small bed. There are some good restaurants close by and it is an easy walk to grocery or pharmacy. There is public transportation but we usually took a taxi to Old Town area for 10-12 +/- euros. Most importantly for a trip on August, it had air conditioning that worked well! It was a perfect spot for 3 of us to explore Rome. Don't miss the Borghese Museum. We took a small group guided tour with Walks of Italy. Michael was amazing and passionate about art.”
