Kayak Boot Key Harbor
The quintessential old Florida Keys home, Kayak Boot Key Harbor, is located canal side with direct access to the ocean and bay. Hammock under the coconut trees, swim through the canal off the concrete dock, bring your powerboat or sailboat to dock, and venture off into the open ocean. The canal is deep while the dock is 75 feet long, accommodating any boat you may have. Marina Junction is just a short way from the home, has a boat ramp for you, and offers rental options. Just a 15-20 minute ride in a no-wake zone, you will be cruising in no time. There is a two-person kayak and two single kayaks for your use for free to paddle over to Sombrero Dockside Restaurant, Sombrero Beach, or further out to Sister Creek to fish in the mangroves. Sombrero Beach boasts impressive white sand, coconut palms, private, clean bathrooms, two volleyball courts, a children's play area with grass, barbecue grills, and picnic tables.
As you walk into the home, you will be charmed by the cool tiles, vaulted ceilings, and luxurious upgrades throughout. The New leather sectional sofa with three recliners (2018) provides the ideal spot to kick up your feet and relax to watch a show or movie on the high definition 55-inch flat-screen television with surround sound after a long day in the sun. Make your way into the kitchen, where stainless steel appliances and granite countertops await you. Easy counter dining is ideal for a quick breakfast before setting out on your daily adventure.
Two full bathrooms are updated with modern finishes, while the bedroom spaces allow immense comfort at the night's end. The master suite has a king-size bed (firm memory foam mattress), a flat-screen television, and a small private bathroom. The second bedroom sleeps four with one queen bed with a twin XL bunk on top and a twin XL trundle at the bottom.
There are plenty of outdoor lounge options here at Kayak Boot Key Harbor, both on the deck and under the home, where there is also a ping pong table, a new six-person hot tub (Hotspring/Limelight/Flare model), a dining table, and an outdoor shower ideal to clean off before you head in for the night.
The home is an anglers paradise with large fish cleaning tables and an outdoor bait freezer to store your bait and catch. Electricity and Water are available from the dock. A charter fishing service is also available from your dock. Walking distance to shops and restaurants in town, you will indeed be in the perfect spot to make the most of your stay here on the keys of paradise. Although the island is safe, you can rest assured that your family and property are well secured with cameras in the front and back of the home.
Although Marathon is located about midway on the keys chain, it graciously provides you with everything you may need during your visit, including Marathon Airport, which charters flights from Miami, a hospital, and plenty of market and dining options.
